State of the nation: PhilippinesSoutheast Asia State of the Nation Monograph Series: This study seeks to evaluate the most significant events in the country during the last two decades in order to understand better the structures and forces underpinning the process of change and continuity in three interlinked historical periods: the struggle against the authoritarian rule of Marcos; the Aquino presidency; and the first three years of the Ramos administration. The monograph also seeks to identify the important trends and developments that help shape events and conjunctures in the future. |
