and I give unto them eternal life, and the Holy Ghost, which is given unto they shall never perish, neither shall us.-Rom. v. 1. 5. any man pluck them out of my hand. -John x. 27, 28. 1 John v. 12, 13. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be. If any man serve me, him will my Father honour. -John xii. 26.

Sin shall not have dominion over you, because ye are not under the law, but under grace. Now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. Rom. vi. 14. 22.

I will not leave you comfortless; There is no condemnation to them I will come to you, &c. Ye see me; that are in Christ Jesus, &c. For because I live, ye shall live also. He the law of the spirit of life in Christ that loveth me, shall be loved of my Jesus hath made me free from the Father, and I will love him, and will law of sin and death, &c. As many manifest myself to him. And my as are led by the Spirit of God, are Father will love him; and we will the sons of God: for ye have not recome unto him, and make our abode ceived the spirit of bondage, but the with him, &c. Peace I leave with Spirit of adoption, &c. And if chilyou; my peace I give unto you, &c. dren, then heirs, heirs of God, and -John xiv. 18, 19. 21. 23. 27. xvi. joint heirs with Christ, &c. We know 27. xvii. 23. Rev. iii. 20. that all things work together for good to them that love God, &c. If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, &c. how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? it is God that justifies. Who is he that condemneth? &c. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? &c. We are more than conquerors, &c.-Rom. viii. 1, 2. 14-17.28. 31 -35.37. Gal. iv. 5-7. Ps. xxv. 10.

Ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you, &c. Ye are my friends, &c. Henceforth I call you not servants, &c. but I have called you friends: for all things that I have heard of my Father, I have made known unto you.-John xv. 7. 14, 15. 1 John iii. 22. John ix. 31. Rom. x. 12, 13.

The Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, &c.-John xvi. 27.

Christ prays for them, not for the world.-John xvii. 9, 10.

Go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God.-John xx, 17.

God is no respecter of persons; but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.-Acts x. 34, 35.

Paul, in his dangerous voyage, is instructed by a heavenly vision, that there should be no loss of any man's life among those that sailed with him: and that God had given him all their lives. Acts xxvii. 22-24.

Being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, &c. The love of God is shed abroad into our hearts by

Whosoever believeth, &c. shall not be ashamed, &c. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.-Rom. x. 11—13.

The God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.-Rom. xvi. 20.

But he that is spiritual, judgeth (or discerneth) all things; yet he himself is judged (or discerned) of no man.-1 Cor. ii. 15.

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, &c. Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours, and ye are Christ's, and Christ is God's.1 Cor. iii. 16. 22, 23. vi. 19.

Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? &c. We shall

judge angels: how much more things which pertain to this life?-1 Cor. vi. 2, 3.

The unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; else were your children unclean, but now are they holy, &c. He that is called in the Lord, being a servant, he is the Lord's freeman.-1 Cor. vii. 14. 22.

If any man love God, the same is known of him.-1 Cor. viii. 3. To the glory of God by us.2 Cor. i. 20.

Ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people; and I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.-2 Cor. vi. 16. 18. 1 Cor.

vi. 19.

The Apostle Paul was caught up into the third heaven, &c. into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful (or possible) for a man to utter.-2 Cor. xii. 2-4. Christ gave himself, &c. that he might deliver us from this present evil world.-Gal. i. 3, 4.

Ye are all the children of God, &c. And if Christ's, then Abraham's seed, and heirs, according to the promise, -Gal. iii. 26. 29. iv. 28.

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father, &c. And if a son, then an heir of God, through Christ.-Gal. iv. 6, 7.

Brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, &c. If ye be led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Gal. v. 13. 18.

body; the fulness of him, that filleth all in all.-Eph. i. 3. 5. 18. 22, 23.

God, who is rich in mercy, and hath made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, &c. We are no more strangers, &c. but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, &c. You are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.-Eph. ii. 4. 6. 13. 19. 22.

For to me to live, is Christ; and to die, is gain.---Phil. i. 21.

The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds, through Christ Jesus, &c. The God of peace shall be with you.-Phil. iv. 7. 9.

Giving thanks to the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son, &c. The mystery which had been hid from ages, &c. but now is made manifest to his saints; to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery, &c.-Col. i. 12, 13. 26, 27.

Your life is hid with Christ in God. &c. The elect of God, holy and beloved.-Col. iii. 3. 12.

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.-1 Thess. ii. 12.

God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us; that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.— 1 Thess. v. 9, 10.

Brethren, beloved of the Lord, &c. He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, &c. Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and given us everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace.-2 Thess. ii. 13, 14. 16.

Blessed be God, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things, &c. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children, &c. What is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the Godliness is profitable unto all saints, &c. The church, which is his things: having the promise of the

life that now is, and of that which is to come, &c. We trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of those who believe.1 Tim. iv. 8. 10.

Godliness, with contentment, is great gain.-1 Tim. vi. 6.

Unto the pure all things are pure. -Titus i. 15.

Being justified, &c. We should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.-Titus iii. 7.

The angels, &c. are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation ?-Heb. i. 13, 14. Matt. xviii. 10.

A crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James i. 12.

Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them who love him?-James ii. 5.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are; and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it rained not, &c. And he prayed again, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.-James v. 16-18.

Blessed be God, &c. who, &c. hath begotten us again to a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus, &c.— 1 Pet. i. 3.

There remaineth therefore a rest (or keeping of a sabbath) to the people of God, &c.-Heb. iv. 9. vi. 19. God is not unrighteous, to forget Ye also as lively stones are built up your work and labour of love which a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, ye have shewed towards his name, &c. to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptWherein God, willing more abun- able to God by Jesus Christ, &c. Others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, &c. of whom the world was not worthy.-Heb. xi. 36-38.

Ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing, &c. The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers.-1 Pet. iii. 9. 12.

Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you.-1 Pet. v. 7.

According as his divine power hath given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, &c. whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, &c. So an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.-2 Pet. i. 3,4. 11.

Ye are come unto Mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem; and to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written (or enrolled) in heaven; and to God, the judge of all; and to the spirits of just men made perfect; and to Jesus, &c. and to the blood of sprinkling, the godly out of temptation.-2 Pet. that speaketh, &c.-Heb. xii. 22-24. Be content, &c. for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that, &c.-Heb. xiii. 5, 6.

The Lord knoweth how to deliver

Truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. -1 John i. 3. 1 Cor. i. 9.

We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous, &c. He that doth the will of God, abideth

RELATION BETWEEN CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH; AND THEIR MUTUAL LOVE AND ESTEEM, TOGETHER WITH THE MANIFESTATION THEREOF.

I WILL declare thy name unto my brethren, &c.-Ps. xxii. 22.

Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God, &c. Beloved, now are we the sons of God; and it doth not yet appear Let him kiss me with the kisses of what we shall be, &c. Whatsoever his mouth: for thy love is better we ask we receive of him, because we than wine, &c. Thy name is as ointkeep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. —1 John iii. 1, 2. 22.

Ye are of God, &c. greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.-1 John iv. 4.

I have written these things to you that believe, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, &c. This is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us, &c. We know that we are of God.-1 John v. 13, 14. 19.

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass, &c. He hath made us kings, &c.-Rev. i. 1. 6.

Hurt not the earth, till we have sealed the servants of God in their foreheads.-Rev. vii. 2, 3.

And it was commanded them that they should not hurt, &c. but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.-Rev. ix. 4. All shall worship the beast, whose names are not written in the book of life.-Rev. xiii. 8. xvii. 8.

The Lamb shall overcome them, &c. and they that are with him, are called, and chosen, and faithful.-Rev. xvii. 14. xx. 8, 9.

And I saw them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, &c. Having the harps of God; and they sing the song of Moses, &c.-Rev.xv.2-4.xx. 4. Blessed are they that do, &c. they have right to the tree of life.-Rev. xxii. 14.

ment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee. Tell me, O thou, whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, &c. For why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go, &c. A bundle of myrrh is my beloved unto me; he shall lie all night between my breasts, &c. Behold thou art fair, my love, &c.-Cant. i. 2, 3.7, 8. 13. 15, 16.

As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters: as the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons.

I sat down (or delighted and sat down) under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet, &c. I am sick of love. His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me, &c. O my love, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice: for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.Cant. ii. 2-6. 14.

By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth; I sought him, but I found him not. I will rise now, and go about the city, I will seek him whom my soul loveth, &c. Saw ye him whom my soul loveth? I found him, &c. I held him, and would not let him go.—Cant. iii. 1-4.

Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee; come with me, &c. Thou hast ravished (or taken away) iny heart, my sister, my spouse: thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, &c. How fair is thy

love, my sister, my spouse! How much better is thy love than wine! &c. A garden inclosed is my sister, &c. Let my beloved come into his garden, &c.-Cant. iv. 7-10. 12. 16. It is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled, &c. I opened to my beloved, but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone, my soul failed when he spake I sought him, but I could not find him: I called him, but he gave me no answer, &c. Tell him that I am sick of love, &c. My beloved is, &c. He is altogether lovely.-Cant. v. 2. 6. 8. 10. 16.

I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine, &c. Thou art beautiful, O my love, &c. my dove, my undefiled, &c. Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun?-Cant. vi. 3, 4. 9, 10. ii. 16. I am my beloved's, and his desire is towards me.-Cant. vii. 10.

Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm; for love is strong as death.-Cant. viii. 6.

Behold I, and the children whom the Lord hath given me.-Isa. viii. 18. Heb. ii. 13.

Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me, &c. When saw we thee an hungered, &c. and did not minister? &c. Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.-Matt. xxv. 40. 44, 45. Mark ix. 41, 42.

Go tell my brethren, that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.-Matt. xxviii. 10. Mark iii. 35. Rom. viii. 29.

He that eateth my flesh, drinketh my blood, dwelleth in and I in him.—John vi. 56.

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep, &c. I, &c. know my sheep, and am known of mine.-John x. 11. 14.

I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may be lieve. John xi. 15.

Ye call me Master and Lord, and ye say well: for so I am.-John xiii. 13.

Let not your hearts be troubled, &c. I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also, &c. I will not leave you comfortless, &c. Ye seeme; because I live, ye shall live also, &c. You in me, and I in you, &c. I will love him, and manifest myself to him, &c. Peace I leave with you: let not your hearts be troubled.-John xiv. 1. 3. 18-21. 23. 27. 2 John 3. 24.

I am the vine, ye are the branches, &c. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. I have loved you; greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, &c.-John xv. 5.9.1114. Luke xii. 4.

These things have I spoken, that ye should not be offended, &c. I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. The Father himself loveth you, &c.-John xvi. 1. 22. 27.

Christ prays for his church at large. -John xvii.

Go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.-John xx. 17.

Jesus saith, Feed my lambs, feed my sheep.-John xxi. 15-17.

When Saul persecuted the Church, Christ said unto him, Why persecutest thou me? &c. I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.-Acts ix. 4, 5.

Ye are become dead to the law, that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead. -Rom. vii. 4. xiv. 9.

Thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.--Rom. xi. 17.

Ye are Christ's.-1 Cor. iii. 23.

Know you not that your bodies are the members of Christ, &c. He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. -1 Cor. vi. 15. 17.
