SUPERINTENDENT J. T. BEES.

ZELLWOOD, FLA., August 21st, 1891.

To the Editor of the Florida School Journal:

In point of settlement Orange is not the oldest county in Florida, nor is it yet quite the richest or most populous, but in enterprise and progressiveness her people do not take a back seat anywhere, and in its personel the Orange County School Board is in harmony with the wide-awake people over whose school interests it presides. In hardly any direction is advancement more noticeable than in the number, grade and efficiency of our public schools, and the improvement is chiefly due to the character of men Orange has constantly kept at

the helm.
