દામ્બે ઊઠીને બહુ લોકોને પોતાની પમાડે ખેંચીલીધા તે પણુ ના શુ માંનો ને જેટલા લોકોએ તેહેને માંના તે શરવ વેરીનંખા

38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:

૩૮ એમાટે હું તમને કહુંઊ કે તને એ નાણુશાથી વેગલા હો ને એને રહેવાદો કેમકે ને એ નનક્ષુબા અથવા એ કૉંન માંચોથી હશે તો ઊથલી પડશે

39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

૩૮ ૫ણ ને એ દેવથી હશે તો તનથી ઊથલાવી પડાતું નથી નહીતો તમે પણુ દેવની શાથે લડનારા દેખાશો

40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

૪૦ ને તેઓએ તેનું નાનું પછી નાકોલાને પાશે બાલાવીને ભારા ને ઇના નીંભથી ન બોલવાનો હુકમ કરીને તેને સુકી દીવા ક

41 | And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.

૪૧ તાહારે તેઓ ઇચ્છુના નાંમને લીધે અપમાન પાંભવા લા એક ગણા માટે આનંદ કરતા નાએશભાની શાઁહીંનાંથી ગા 42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

૪૨ ને મંદીરનાં તથા ઘેરે ઘેર પણ નીતે ઈશુ ખીશ શબંધી ઊપદેશ કરવાનું તથા શારા શમાચાર પરગટ કરવાનું

CHAP. VI. છઠ્ઠો અંધ

1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Gre cians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.

૧ ને તે દાણાડાઓમાં શીશા ઘણા ચશ્મા પર હૅબી શાથે હેલલાશીને કચકચ થઇ એમાટે કે નીતના દાન કરવામાં તે ની રાંડેલી શનથી અંતર કરા

2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

૨ તાહારે તે ખારાએ શીશાની શુભાને એકઠી બોલાવીને કહું કે દેવની વાત જુકીને હુમારેજ પંગતીની શેવા કરવી ઘટારથ નથી

3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

૩ અમાટે એ ભાઈ તમે પોતાનામાંના આબરૂવાલા શાત માઁણ્શ પીતર આતમામે તથા ગનાને ભરેલાને ચૈાધી કાહાડો જેને હનૈ એ કૉંભ પર ઠરાવીએ

4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

૪ પણ હમે તો પરારથનામાં તથા વાતની શૈયામાં શીર લાગુ રહીશ

6 | And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Ti. mon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

૫ ને એ વાતથી શરવ લાક રાજી થઆ ને શતકાન વીશવાશે તથા પીતર આતભાએ ભરેલા એક ભાણાને તથા પુીલપને

તથા પરખરશને તથા નીકાનોરને તથા તીમાનને તથા પારમેનાને તથા અંતીખના થએલા ઇહુદી નીકાલાને પણ એએએ ૫શ્ચંદ્

કરા

6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

૬ જેને તેઓએ મોકલેલાની શાહીંમાં ઊભા કરા ને ઍ આએ પરારથના કરીને તેઓ પર હાથ મુકા

7 | And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

૭ તાહારે દેવની વાત પેલી ને ઈરૂશાલેમમાં શીશાની ગણતી બહુ વધીગઈ ને ઈઆજકોનાંની નાહાટી શભા પણ વીશવાશને આધીન થઈ

8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

૮ ને વીશવાશથી તથા પરાકરનથી ભરેલા શતેકાને માહાટા ચનતકારો તથા અચરત કર્યાંના લોકોનાં કર્યાં

9¶ Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.

૮ તાહાર લીબેરતીની કેહેવાએલી શભામાંના તથા કુરેનીના તથા આલેકાઁદીના તથા કીલકીનાઁના તથા આશીઆના કેટલા એક ઊઠીને શતાનની શાથે તકરાર કરવા લાગા

10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

૧૦ પણ્ જે ગનાને તથા આતનાએ તે બોલો તેની શાહનાં ઠરવાને તેઓ શકતા નાહાતા

1 Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.

કે

૧૧ તાહારે તેઓએ કેટલાંએક નાંણાને પેાતાની ગભ શા વી લીધાં જેઓએ કહું કે સુશા પર તથા દેવ [૫૨] દુરભાશણુની વાતા તેહેને કહેતાં હને શાંભલીધે

12 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,

૧૨ અઁન તેઓએ લાકોને તથા ઘરડાઓને તથા શાથતી ને ઊશકેરા તાહારે તેઓએ તેઙેના પર આવીને પકડી લઈને[તેહન] નાએશભાનાં

ણા*

13 And set up false witnesses, which said, Tlhis man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

૧૩ ને જુઠા શાહેદો ઊભા કીધા જેઓએ કહું કે એ નાંણુશ આ મીતર જંગેને તથા શાશતરને ઊલટી દુરભાશંણુની વાત કહા વીના રહેતો નથી*

14 For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.

૧૪ કેમકે હુને તહેને એ કેહેતાં શાંભલું કે એ ઈશ્યુ નાની આ જંગેને નાશ કરશે ને જે રીતીઓ સુશાએ હુમને શાઁપીછે તેને એ બદલશે

15 And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.

૧૫ ને જે શરવે નાએભાનાં બેઠા હુતા તેઓએ તે પર નજરે ધારતાં તેહેનું નેહા દુતના નેહા શરખું દીઠું

CHAP. VII. શાતા અધો

1 Then said the high priest, Are these things so? ૧ તાહારે સુખી ઇઆજકે કહું કે એ વાતે શું એમજ છે

2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,

૨ ને શતેને કહું કે આ નાણ્યો ભાઇ

તથા ખા તમે શાંભલા હમારા ઝુલ પુરથ આબરહાનને નૈશપોતાનીમાં રહેવાની વેલા તેહેના હારાનમાં રહેવાથી અગાઊ નમાવાન હવે તેને દરશણુ આએવું

ૐ And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.

૩ ને તહેને કહ્યું કે તુ પોતાના દેશ તથા પેાતાનાં શાં માઁથી નીકલ, ને જે દેશ હું તને દેખાડીશ તેણેમાં ન

4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.

૪ તાહારૂં કાશીદીના દેશમાંથી તે નીકલીને હારાનમાં રહો ને તેહેનો બાપ સુચ્યા પછી તીથી તેણે તેને આ દેશનાં લાવી નશામેવા ગેમાં તને હમણાં રહાછા

5 And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

૫ ને દેવે તેહેને હેમાઁ વતન આએવું નહુ પગલું ભાગ્મે] પણુ ની તાપણ તેને ઇઊન છતાં તેણે તેહેને તથા તે પછી તેના વંશના વતનને શારૂ આ દેશ આપવાનું વચન કહું
