And as the Shemob, the Light proceeding from the Sun in that Month, produced the greatest Effects there, not only upon the Earth, and Fruits, and Creatures, but also upon the Bodies of Men and Women, not only in Life, but in Venery, Generation, &c. There is nothing more in it, than that the Women, who were fenfible of fome, and imagin'd other Powers in these Agents, lamented his Abfence by the Earth's Declination in Winter, and rejoiced upon his Return in Summer.

And as I hinted above, though they each diftinguish their Object of Worship frequently by one Name or Attribute, they give them other Attributes, as in this. Ention'd, 2 Kings xxiii. 5, & al. I have fhew'd in the fecond Part of M. P. that this is that Stream of Shemash flowing from the Sun, which is interrupted by one of the fix in the fecondary Candlestick, the Orb of the Moon, and reflected against the Earth. This had its Commiflion given, Gen. i. Deut. xvii. 3,

Spiritually, 2 Chron. xvi. 9, The Eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole Earth-frongly to hold with them, whofe Heart is perfect towards him. Pfal. xxxiii, 18, Behold the Eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him. 1 Kings ix. 3. 2 Chron. vii. 15, 16, I have hallowed this Houfe, and mine Eyes-fhall be there perpetually. Zach.

p. 498, mention'd, 2 Kings. xxxiii. 5. This expreffes the Fluxes or Streams of Light iffued from the Sun against the Orbs of the Stars, and reflected towards the Earth. This is found join'd with Baal, and the Light of the Sun, and the Light of the Moon: And though the Word be general, and might include the Planets and all the Stars; yet, I think, as all the others are elsewhere diftinctly nam'd, it was apply'd to the Fluxes from the Planets; because, I think we have no other Word in Scripture which distinguishes

them :
