10. And then shall many be offended, and fhall betray one another, and fall hate one another.

13. But he that shall endure unto the end, the fame fhall be faved. 14. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then fhall the end come. 15. When ye therefore fall fee the abomination of defolation, Spoken of by Daniel the prophet, ftand in the holy place, (whoso readeth let him understand,)

16. Then let them which be in Judea, flee into the mountains. 17. Let him which is on the house top, not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18. Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19.

And wo unto them that are with child, and to them that give fuck in those days.

20. But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day.

21. For then shall be great tribulation, fuch as was not fince the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22. And except those days should be shortned, there should no fefb be faved: but for the elects fake those days shall be shortned. 23. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Chrift, or there: believe it not.

24. For there fhall arife falfe Chrifts, and false prophets, and fball fhew great figns and wonders, infomuch that, (if it were poffible,) they shall deceive the very elect.

25. Behold I have told you before.

26. Wherefore, if they shall say unto you, Behold he is in the defert, go not forth: behold he is in the fecret chambers, believe it

not.

27. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the weft: fo fhall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28. For wherefoever the carcafe is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

9. What fall therefore the Lord of the vineyard do? he will come and defroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto

others.

CHAP. xiij. 1-23.

ND as he went out of the temple, one of his difciples faith unto him, ivíafter, fee what manner of ftones, and what buildings are here.

2. And Jefus anfiering faid unto him, Seeft thou these great buildings there fhall not be left one stone upon another, that fhall not be thrown down.

3. And as he fat upon the mount of Olives, over against the temple, Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, asked him privately,

4. Tell us, when fhall these things be? and what shall be the fign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

5. And Jefus answering them, began to fay, Take heed left any man decieve you.

6. For many fhall come in my name, saying, I am Chrift: and Shall deceive many.

7. And when ye shall hear of wars, and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for fuch things must needs be; but the end fhall not be yet.

8. For nation fhall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom and there fhall be earthquakes in divers places, and there fhall be famines, and troubles: these are the beginnings of fora

rows.

9. But take heed to your felves: for they shall deliver you up to councels; and in the fynagogues ye shall be beaten; and ye shall be brought before the rulers and kings for my fake, for a testimony against them.

10. And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

11. But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the holy Ghost.

12. Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the fon and children (hall rise up against their parents, and Shall caufe them to be put to death.

13. And ye shall be hated of all men for my names fake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the fame (hall be faved.

17. But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give fuck in those days.

18. And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

19. For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created, unto this time, neither Shall be

20. And except that the Lord had fortned those days, no flesh Should be faved: but for the elects fake, whom he hath chofen, he bath fortned the days.

21. And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Chrift, or lo, he is there: believe him not.

22. For falfe Chrifts, and false prophets shall arife, and shall fhew figns and wonders, to feduce, if it were poffible, even the

elect.

23. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

LUKE xiij. 6-9.

6. He fpake alfo this parable: Acertain man had a fig-tree planted in his vineyard, and he came and fought fruit thereon and found

none.

7. Then faid he unto the dreffer of the vineyard, Behold, these three years I come fecking fruit on this fig-tree, and find none: cut it down, why cumbreth it the ground?

8. And he answering, faid unto him, Lord, let it alone this year alfo, till I fhall dig about it, and dung it.

9. And if it bear fruit, well: and if not then after that, thou falt cut it down.

41. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept

over it;

42. Saying, if thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

43. For the days fball come upon thee, that thine enemies fhall caft a trench about thee, and encompass thee round, and keep thee in on every fide.

44. And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another: because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

CHAP. XX. 16.

16. He shall come and destroy thefe husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they faid, God forbid.

5. And as fome spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly ftones, and gifts, he said,

6. As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one ftone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

7. And they asked him, faying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what fign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

8. And he faid, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many Shall come in my name, saying, I am Chrift; and the time draweth near: go not ye therefore after them.

9. But when ye shall hear of wars, and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass, but the end is not by and by.

10. Then

10. Then faid he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

11. And great earthquakes fhall be in divers places,and famines, and peftilences, and fearful fights, and great signs shall there be from heaven.

12. But before all these they shall lay their hands on you, and perfecute you, delivering you up to the fynagogues, and into prifons, being brought before kings and rulers for my names fake. 13. And it fall turn to you for a teftimony.

14. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer.

15. For Iwillgive you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adverfaries shall not be able to gainsay, nor resist.

16. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put

to death.

17. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name fake.
18. But there fhall not one hair of your head perifh.
19. In patience poffefs your ye fouls.

20. And when ye shall fee Jerufalem compaffed with armies, then know that the defolation thereof is nigh.

21. Then let them that are in Judea, flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it, depart out; and let not them which are in the countreys, enter thereinto.

22. For thefe be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fufilled.

23. But wo unto them that are with child, and to them that give fuck in thofe days: for there shall be great diftrefs in the land, and wrath upon this people.

24. And they shall fall by the edge of the fword, and fall be away captive into all nations: and Jerufalem shall be troden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
