CHA P. xiv. 1−5. 12—15.

Ehold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

2. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city fall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished, and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people fhall not be cut off from the city.

3. Thenhall the Lord go forth, and fight against thofe nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

4. And his feet fhall ftand in that day upon the mount of Olives, whichis before Jerufalem on the cast, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midft thereof toward the east and toward west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the fouth.

5. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains : for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God fhall come, and all the faints with thee.

12. And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerufalem: Their flesh shall confume away while they ftand upon their feet, and their eyes (ball confume away in their holes, and their tongue shall confume away

in their mouth.

13. And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord fhall be among them, and they shall lay hold every one the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.

14. And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and filver, and apparel in great abundance.

15. And fo fhall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, asthis plague.

VI.

Prophecies Relating to the general converfion of the Jews to the Chriftian Faith, to the marriage of the Lamb, to the first Refurrection, to the happy Millennium, and to the fulness of the Gentiles then to flow into the Church.

Is A. ij. 1-5.

Tand Jerufalem. 'H E word that Ifaiah the son of Amoz faw, concerning Judah

2. And it fall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lords house fall be established in the top of the mountains, and fhall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

3. And many people fhall go and fay, Comeye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the houfe of the God of Jacob, and be will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerufalem.

4. And he fall Fudge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their fwords into plow-fhares, and their Jpeares into pruning-hooks; nation shall not lift up fword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

5. O house of Jacob, comeye, and let us walk in the light of the

Lord.

CHAP. iv. 3-6.

3. And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and ke that remaineth in Jerufalem, fhall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerufalem:

4. When the Lord hall have washed away the filth of the daugh ters of Zion, and fhall have purged the blond of Jerusalem from the midft thereof, by the Spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

5. And the Lord will create upon every dwelling-place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies a cloud, and smoak by day, and the

·Shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory fhall be a defence.

6. And there shall be a tabernacle for a fhadow in the day-time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

CHAP. X. 20-23.

20. And it hall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Ifrael, and fuch as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again ftay upon him that fmote them: but fall stay upon the Lord, the holy One of Ifrael, in truth.

21. The remnant fhall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

22. For though thy people Ifrael be as the fand of the fea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

23. For the Lord God of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined in the midst of all the land.

CHAP. xj. 6-10.

6. The wolf alfo fhall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard fhall lie down with the kid, and the calf, and the young lion, and the fatling together, and a little child fhall lead them.

7. And the cow and the bear fhall feed, their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8. And the fucking child ball play on the hole of the afp, and the weaned child fhall put his hand on the cockatrice-den.

9. They shall not hurt nor deftroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth fhall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the fea.

10. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall Stand for an ensign of the people; to it fhall the Gentiles seek, and his reft fhall be glorions.

CHAP. Xij. 1–6.

ND in that day thou shalt fay, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou waft angry with me, thine anger is turned-away, and thou comfortedst me.

2. Behold,

name is exalted.

5. Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

6. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the holy One of Ifrael in the midst of thee.

CHAP. XXV. I-12.

Lord, thou art my God, I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counfels of old are faith ulness and truth.

2. For thou haft made of a city an heap of a defenced city, a ruine: a palace of strangers, to be no city, it shall never be built. 3. Therefore fhall the strong people glorifie thee, the city of the terrible nations fhall fear thee.

4. For thou hast been a ftrength to the poor, a ftrength to the needy in his diftrefs, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

5. Thou falt bring down the noife of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones fhall be brought low.

6. And in this mountain hall the Lord of hofts make unto all people a feaft of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

7. And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering · caft over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

8. And he will fwallow up death in victory, and the Lord God, will wipe away tears from off all faces, and the rebuke of his people Shall be take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath Spoken

it.

9. And it shall be faid in that day, Lo, this is our God, we have

waited for him, and he will fave us, this is the Lord we have waited for him we will be glad, and rejoyce in his falvation.

10. For in this mountain fall the hand of the Lord reft, and Moab fhall be troden down under him, even as ftraw is troden down for the dunghil.

11. And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that fwimmeth Spreadeth forth his hands to fwim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

12. And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

CHA P. XXVj. 1–19.

N that day fall this fong be fung in the land of Judah, We have

2. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.

3. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whofe mind is stayed on thee: because he trufteth in thee.

4. Truft ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.

5. For he bringeth down them that dwell on high, the lofty city he layeth it low, he layeth it low even the ground, he bringeth it even to the dust.

6. The foot fall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the fteps of the needy.

7. The way of the just is uprightness: thou most upright doft weigh the path of the just.

8. Yea, in the ways of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the defire of our foul is to thy name, and to the remem

brance of thee.

9. With my foul have I defired thee in the night, yea, with my Spirit within me will I feek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

10. Let favour be fhewed to the wicked, yet will be not learn righteousness in the land of uprightness will be deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the Lord.
