Jefus is feen the fixth time by the
eleven Apoftles. He rebukesThomas
for his obftinacy.

HEN the eleven difciples went
Joh. xx. 26. away into Galilee. And after
eight days, again his difciples were
within, and Thomas with them: then
came Jefus, the doors being fhut, and
ftood in the midft, and said, Peace be
27-unto you. Then faith he to Thomas,
Reach hither thy finger, and behold my
hands and reach hither thy hand, and
thruft it into my fide, and be not faith-
28.lefs but believing. And Thomas an-
fwered and faid unto him, My Lord and
29. my God. Jefus faith unto him, Thomas,
becaufe thou haft feen me, thou hast be-
lieved: bleffed are they that have not
feen, and yet have believed.


Jefus appears a feventh time to fome Seaof Tiberias. of his Difciples at the Lake of Tiberias, and foretels what shall befall Peter and John.

Fter these things Jefus fhewed himfelf again to the difciples at the fea of Tiberias; and on this wife fhew2. ed he himself. There were together

them, I go a fishing. They fay unto
him, We also go with thee. They went
forth, and entred into a ship immediate-
ly; and that night they caught nothing.
But when the morning was now come, 4.
Jefus ftood on the fhore; but the disci-
ples knew not that it was Jefus. Then 5.
Jefus faith unto them, Children, have
ye any meat? They anfwered him, No.
And he faith unto them, Caft the net 6.
on the right fide of the ship, and ye shall
find. They caft therefore, and now
they were not able to draw it for the
multitude of fishes. Therefore that 7,
difciple whom Jefus loved, faith unto
Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Si-
mon Peter heard that it was the Lord,
he girt his fifhers coat unto him, (for
he was naked) and did caft himself into
the fea. And the other difciples came 8.
in a little ship (for they were not far
from land, but as it were two hundred
cubits) dragging the net with fishes.
As foon then as they were come to 9.
land, they faw a fire of coals there, and
filh laid thereon, and bread. Jefus faith 10.
unto them, Bring of the fish which
have now caught. Simon Peter went 11.
up, and drew the net to the land full
of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and
three and for all there were fo many,
yet was not the net broken, Jefus faith



Sea of Tiberias. them, Come and dine. And none of the Anno Joh. xxi. disciples durft ask him, Who art thou? tat-33. Minist. 4, 13. knowing that it was the Lord. Jefus then cometh and taketh the bread, and 14. giveth them, and fifh likewife. This is now the third time that Jefus fhewed himself to his difciples, after that he was risen from the dead.


So when they had dined, Jefus faith to Simon Peter, Simon, Jon of Fonas, loveft thou me more than the fe? He faith unto him, Tea, Lord, thou knoweft that I love thee. He faith unto him, Feed 16. my Lambs. He faith unto him again a fécond time, Simon, fon of Fonas, loveft thou me? He faith unto him, Tea, Lord; thou knoweft that I love thee. He faith 17. unto him, Feed my fheep. He faith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Fonas, loveft thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said unto him the third time, Loveft thou me? and he faid unto him, Lord, thou knoweft all things; thou knowest that I love thee.
