PREFATORY NOTE.

A general preface was prefixed to the first volume of the "Writings of Arminius," and it was not thought that it would be necessary to say any thing else, of a prefatory character; yet a few words, explanatory of a fact connected with the two previous volumes, may be allowed. It has been found necessary to append, to each of those volumes, a list of errata, correcting typographical errors. These errors, many of which were in Hebrew and Greek words, were owing, perhaps chiefly, to the fact that from the distance of the editor's residence from the place of publication, that of several hundred miles, it was not convenient that the proof sheets should be revised by him, till it was too late to make corrections in the body of the work. This is regretted, but, from the circumstance referred to, could hardly be avoided. The editor has been able to exercise a more complete supervision of the present volume, as it has passed through the press, and he believes that it will be free, to a greater degree at least than the first two, from typographical blemishes.
