10. Destruction and Unhappiness is in their Ways, and the Way of Peace have they not known; there is no Fear, of God before their Eyes.

11. Are not they without Understanding that work Wickedness, eating up my People, as they would eat Bread, and call not upon God?

12. There were they brought in great Fear, even where no Fear was; for God is in the Generation of the righte

13. Oh that the Salvation were given to Ifrael out of Sion! O that the Lord would deliver his People out of Captivity!

14. Then fhould Jacob rejoice, and Ifrael fhould be right glad.

15. AS FOR ME, I am like a green Olive tree in the Houfe of God: my Truft is in the tender Mercy of God for ever and ever. (Pf. lii.).

16. I will always give Thanks unto Thee for that Thou haft done; and I will hope in thy Name, for thy Saints like it well.

17. BE WISE now therefore, O ye Kings; be inftructed, ye that are Judges of the Earth: ferve the Lord with Fear, and rejoice unto Him with Reverence. (Pf. ii.)

25. AND NOW, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his Ways, and to love him, and to ferve the Lord thy God with all thy Heart, and with all thy Soul? (Deuter, x. 12.), 26. Behold the Heaven and the Heaven of Heavens is the Lord's thy God, the Earth alfo, with All that is therein.

27. For the Lord your God is God of Gods, and Lord of Lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not Perfons, nor taketh Reward.

28. He doth execute the Judgement of the Fatherless and Widow, and loveth the Stranger in giving him Food and Raiment.

29. Thou fhalt fear the Lord thy God; Him fhalt thou ferve, and to Him fhalt thou cleave, and fwear by his Name.

30. He is thy Praife, and He is thy God that hath done for thee thefe great and terrible Things, which thine Eyes

have seen.

31. Therefore thou fhalt love the Lord thy God, and keep his Charge, and his Statutes, and his Judgements, and his Commandments always.-REJOICE in the Lord alway; and again I fay, rejoice; the Lord is at Hand, (Philip. iv. 4.)

32. Be careful for Nothing; but in every Thing, by Prayer and Supplication, with Thanksgiving, let your Re quests be made known unto God.

33. And the Peace of God, which paffeth all Underftanding, fhall keep your Hearts and Minds, through Chrift Jefus.

34. Now unto God and our Father, be Glory for ever and ever. Amen.

2. THE LORD hear thee in the Day of Trouble; the Name of the God of Jacob defend thee: fend thee Help from the Sanctuary, and ftrengthen thee out of Sion: Grant thee thy Heart's Defire, and fulfill all thy Mind. (Pf.xx.)

3. We will rejoice in thy Salvation, and triumph in the Name of the Lord our God: The Lord perform all your Petitions.

4. Now know I, that the Lord helpeth his Anointed, and will hear him from his holy Heaven, even with the faving Strength of his right Hand.

5. Some put their Truft in Chariots, and fome in Horfes: but We will remember the Name of the Lord our God: They are brought down and fallen; but We are risen, and stand upright.

6. Save, Lord, and hear us, O King of Heaven, when we call upon Thee.

7. PRESERVE Me, O God, for in Thee do I put my Strength. (P. xvi.)

8. O my Soul, thou haft faid unto the Lord, Thou art my God, my Goodness extendeth not unto Thee.

9. All my Delight is upon the Saints, that are in the Earth, and upon Such as excel in Virtue.

10. But They, that run after another God, fhall have great Trouble: their Drink-Offerings of Blood will I not offer, neither make mention of them within my Lips.

II. The Lord himself is the Portion of mine Inheritance and of my Cup; Thou fhalt maintain my Lot.

12. The Lot is fallen to me in a fair Ground,` yea, I have a goodly Heritage.

13. I will blefs the Lord for giving me Counsel; my Reins also instruct me in the Night-Season.

14. I have fet God always before me; because He is on my right Hand I fhall not be moved.

15. Wherefore my Heart is glad, and my Glory rejoiceth; my Flefh alfo fhall reft in Hope: for Thou wilt not leave my Soul in Hell, neither fhalt Thou fuffer thine holy One to fee Corruption.

16. Thou

16. Thou wilt fhew me the Path of Life, in thy Prefence is Fulness of Joy, and at thy right Hand there is Plea fure for evermore.

17. HEAR the right, O Lord, confider my Complaint, and hearken unto my Prayer, that goeth not out of feigned Lips. (P. xvii.)

18. Let my Sentence come forth from thy Prefence; and let thine Eyes look upon the Thing that is equal.

19. Thou haft proved and vifited mine Heart in the Night-Seafon; Thou haft tried me, and fhalt find no Wickedness in me, for I am utterly purposed, that my Mouth fhall not offend.

20. O hold Thou up my Goings in thy Paths, that my Footsteps flip not.

21. I have called upon Thee, O God, for Thou wilt hear me; incline thine Ear to me, and hearken unto my Words.,

22. Shew thy marvelous loving Kindness, O Thou that art the Savior of them, who put their Truft in Thee; from Such as rife up against Thee.

23. Keep me as the Apple of thine Eye; hide me under the Shadow of thy Wings, from the ungodly, that trouble me.

24. Then will I behold thy Prefence in Righteousness; and when I awake up after thy Likeness, I fhall be satisfied with it.

25. NOW THE GOD of Peace that brought again from the dead our Lord Jefus Chrift, that great Shepherd of the Sheep, through the Blood of the everlafting Covenant ; make You perfect in every good Work to do his Will, working in you that which is well-pleafing in his Sight, through Jefus Chrift; (Heb. xiii. 20.)

26. To whom be Glory for ever and ever.

Amen.

27. By Him therefore let us, offer the Sacrifice of Praife to God continually, that is, the Fruit of our Lips, giving Thanks to his Name.

28. TO THE LORD our God belong Mercies and Forgiveneffes, though We have rebelled against Him. (Dana ix. 9.)

29. Now therefore, O our God, hear the Prayers of thy Servants, and their Supplications, and caufe thy Face to fhine upon thy Sanctuary, for the Lord's-Sake.

30. O our God, incline thine Ear, and hear; open thing Eyes, and behold thy Servants: for We do not prefent our Supplications before Thee for our own Righteoufneffes, but for thy great Mercies.

31. O Lord hear, O Lord forgive, O Lord hearken and do, defer not for thine own Sake, O my God.

32. WHO IS a God like unto Thee, that pardoneth Iniquity, and paffeth by the Tranfgreffion of the Remnant of his Heritage? He retaineth not his Anger for ever, be cause he delighteth in Mercy. (Micah vii. 18.)

33. THUS SAITH the Lord, let not the wife Man glory in his Wisdom, neither let the Mighty Man glory in his Might, let not the rich Man glory in his Riches; but let him that glorieth, glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth Me, that I am the Lord, which exercife loving Kindness, Judgement and Righteoufnels in the Earth; for in these Things I delight, faith the Lord. (Jerem. ix, 23.)

34. IT IS OF the Lord's Mercies that We are not confumed, because his Compaffions fail not; they are new every Morning; great is thy Faithfulness. (Lament. iii. 22.)

35. The Lord is my Portion, faith my Soul, therefore will I hope in Him: the Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the Soul that feeketh Him.

36. It is good that a Man fhould both hope and wait quietly for the Salvation of the Lord: for the Lord will not caft off for ever.

37. But though He caufe Grief, yet will He have Compaffion, according to the Multitude of his Mercies: for He doth not afflict willingly, nor grieve the Children of Men. 38. Let us fearch and try our Ways, and turn again to` the Lord.

39. Let us lift up our Heart with our Hands, unto God in the Heavens.

40. BLESSED BE Thou, O Lord God of our Fathers, for ever and ever. (1 Chron. xxii. 10.)

41. Thine, O Lord, is the Greatness and the Power, and the Glory, and the Victory, and the Majefty; for All that is in the Heaven and in the Earth is thine; Thine is the Kingdom, O Lord, and Thou art exalted as Head above All.

42. Both Riches and Honor come of Thee, and Thou reigneft over All; and in thine Hand is Power and Might,
