M. That it may please Thee to illuminate all the faithful Minifters of thine everlasting Gospel, (of whatfoever Denomination of Chriftians they are,) with true Knowledge and Understanding of thy Word; and that both by their Preaching and Living, they may fet it forth and recommend it accordingly.

M. That it may pleafe Thee to direct and grant, that all useful Wifdom may be faithfully taught, and the Principles of Virtue effectually inculcated, in all our Univerfities, Schools, and Seminaries of Learning.

M. That it may please Thee to blefs and keep all thy People, giving them Hearts truly to love and fear Thee, to receive thy Word with pure Affection, to bring forth the Fruits of the Spirit, and diligently to live after thy Commandments.

ALMIGHTY God, our heavenly Father, who by thy Son Jefus Chrift haft promised to them, that feek thy Kingdom and the Righteousness thereof, all Things neceffary to their bodily Suftenance; We humbly apply to Thee, in this Time of our Neceffity, now when the Earth is parched up with Heat, and the Clods cleave faft together, befeeching that Thou wouldst fatis fie the defolate and dry Ground, and make it foft with fuch moderate Rain and Showers, that thus it may become fruitful, and yield its Encrease; blefs the Springing thereof, and make the Bud of the tender Herb to bring forth in it's kind abundantly; that We thy Servants, under a due Sense of our continual Dependence on Thee, may ftudy to walk worthy of Thee, unto all well-pleafing, and may abound in the Fruits of Righteoufnefs, to thy Praife and Glory, through Jefus Christ our Lord.
