what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this fort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. 2 Cor: iii. 5. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves: but our fufficiency is of God.

The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him and his righteousness unto children's children: to such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. v Pfalm lxxxix. 33, 36. Nevertheless, my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor fuffer my faithfulness to fail, My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn, by my holiness, that I will not lie unto David. His feed fhall endure for ever, and his throne as the fun before me.

* Pfalm lxxxix. 2, 3, 4. For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever; thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. I have made a covenant with my Chosen, I have sworn unto David my fervant. Thy feed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. v. 28, 29.
