God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. Song iv. 16. Awake, O north wind, and come, thou fouth, blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow

w Phil. ii. 12, 13. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have al. ways obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence : work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Heav'n as my juit reward I'll win e. fore the world began. Tit. . 5. Not by works of righteousness, which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us by the walhing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

The Spirit itself beareth witpess with our {pirit, that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ.

Both these may just rewards I know,

Since mercy only brings me there g. no man deceive you with vain words : for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobe. dience. Gal. iii. 10. For as many as are of the works of the law, are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

CONCLUSION.
ERE is the riddle, where's the man

Of judgment to expound?
For master's fam'd that cannot scan,

In Israel may be found a. the Holy Ghost : which he shed on us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour ; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren : that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest, in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. John i. 7, 8, 9. If we walk in the light, as God is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no Go, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. we confess our fins, he is faithful, and just to forgive us our fins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
