To authorize the Payment out of the Consolidated Fund of a Sum of Money towards the Erection of certain Revenue Buildings at Liverpool.

HERCAS the Mayor, Bailiffs and Common Council, on Preamble. behalf of the Mayor, Bailiffs and Burgesses of the Town of Liverpool, in the year One thousand eight hundred and Twentyseven, undertook to expend the sum of One hundred and seventy-five thousand Pounds in the erection of a Building which should contain accommodation for the Departments of the Customs, Excise, Post and Stamp Offices, upon a Site offered for that purpose in part by the said Corporation and in part by the Trustees of the Liverpool Docks; and the Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury engaged 10 to pay to the said Corporation One hundred and fifty thous and Pounds towards defraying such Expense:

And whereas the said Buildings have been commenced and are in progress, and an Instalment of Twenty-five thousand Pounds has been paid under the authority of an Act passed in the first and 15 second years of the reign of His present Majesty, intituled, " An

thousand Pounds out of the Consolidated Fund of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland;

BE it therefore Enacted, by The KING's most Excellent MAJESTY, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, 5 and by the Authority of the same, THAT the Sum of One hundred and twenty-five thousand Pounds, now remaining unpaid to the Corporation of Liverpool for the purposes aforesaid, shall be chargeable and charged upon the growing produce of the Consolidated Fund of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland; 10 and the Lord High Treasurer, or the Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland for the time being, or any three or more of them, may from time to time authorize and direct the Issue, out of the growing produce of the said Consolidated Fund, of the said remaining sum of One hundred 15 and twenty-five thousand Pounds, by Instalments not exceeding Twenty-five thousand Pounds, in the year One thousand eight hundred and Thirty-two, or in any succeeding year, until the whole of such remaining sum of One hundred and twenty-five thousand Pounds shall have been paid to the said Corporation for the purposes aforesaid.
