Think it neceffary to add this farther Obfervation, that in Revel. 12. the fame Times are given the VVoman, (that is, the VVeftern Church,) as Daniel affigns to Antichrift, or his little Horn, a Time, and Times, and half a Time.

Dan. 7. ver. 25. He fhall change the Law and Times, ἕως καιρᾶ καὶ καιρῶν. Ch. 12. v. 7. Ch. 12. v. 7. All things fhould be known when the Difperfion was ended, ei's xxxpv xaipur, and half a time, By these we know when the Little Horn's Kingdom and the Jew ws Difperfion will end. But Revel. fays, ch. 12. Tpiperas ixeï xxx's, the VVoman will be fo long in the defolate Countries, called a Wilderness. And then it denotes the Duration of the Western Church, (if we compute a Time by sco Years, as Daniel and Efdras feem to dc,) fince that Church began from Linus, A. D. 68. and add 175 Years to it, that Church will continue to 1818; and then its firft 12 Bishops were its Stars, moft of them martyr'd; but afterwards for 500 Years, they affumed the Title of Univerfal Bithops Victor began. In the fecond 500 Years they affumed an Imperial Power over all the Emperors, and Ten Horns, and raised the Western Empire again. In the third 500 Years they came to the greateft Height of Tyrannical Government, and perfecuted the Reformation. And their de clining State will be from 1568, till 1818; and the firft Return of the Jews will be 1820, by computing the 1750 from the End of Daniel's 70 Weeks, A. D. 70. adding it to 1750. At the End of Daniel's 70 Weeks, the laft Captivity by the Romans began. These Computations appearing very probable, I could not omit them; because we have no other Computation of the End of that Captivity, but that in Dan. 12. tho' he mentions the feven Times that Nebuchadnezzar fhould continue out of his Kingdom, Ch. 4. yet v. 34. he calls them Days. And if thofe fhould be Years, I may answer, that fuch an Interpretation may be fuitable to the Computation of one Prince, but not to many Ages, which the Captivity has lafted. That is more readily computed by the Time of 500 Years, which Efdras, who was Contemporary with Daniel, ufed in his Prophecies, which fucceeded and interpreted Daniel's: And Daniel mentions neither Months, nor Years, not

any

any Number of Days; but a Time, and Times, and a half, in that Prophecy.

From 1820, if we allow the Return of the Two Tribes, a profperous State of the Jews Two Tribes will continue till the Resurrection of the Juft, and the Return of the Ten Tribes, when the Millenary Kingdom of Chrift will fucceed, and begin. This laft Retura is fally described in Ch. 2. of Efdras, and the Refurrection of the Ten Tribes: But the Return of the Two Tribes from the Borders, to build Sion, is' in Efdras, ch. 13. He mentions the everlafting Light, which fhould thine on them, (the Jews;) cb. 2. v.35. All this agrees with Efay and Ezokiel.

Note, That Efay 63. mentions the Coming of Antichrift from Edom, and his Deftruction by God.

Ezekiel, ch. 38, and 39, calls him Gog, and fays, the Pro phets fpoke of him in old times: Therefore fome of Gog's Army belege Ferufalem, the Perfians, Ethiopians, Libyans, whilft they from the North Quarters plunder and pillage the Mountains of Ifrael, as Ezekiel describes.

In Zachary 12, and 14, the Nations are deftroyed, who made Two Sieges against Jerufalem, by two extraordináry Overthrows. The latter Prophecies explain those which were given before more obfcurely and the Revelations reduce thefe Prophecies into better Order, and two diftin& times, the Battel of Armagiddon, and the Coming of Chrift, cb. 19. And Efdras did very plainly diffinguifh both Returns of the Jews.

Isaiah, ch. 60. ver. 21. fays, the Jews fhall inherit thể Land, is, (that is, à Sacalum.) And ch. 63, he says, Ένα μικρὸν κληρονομήσωμεν όρως : And ch. 65, v. 1o. The Young and Old thall live an hundred Years. V. 22 As the Days of á Tree, are the Days of my People; and mine Elect shall long enjoy the Work of their Hands. V.25. No ravenous Creature fhall hurt them: Ch. 66. v. 12. God will make the Earth and Heavens appear as new, (like thofe in Adam's Days, and when they fhould remain in that Land, as long as the Heavens and renewed Earth continued; that is, during the Millennium,

Millennium, when they will be under the Government of David, railed from the Dead. Hofea, ch. 3. v. 4, 5. The Children of Ifrael fhall abide many Days without a King, without a Prince, without a Sacrifice : Afterwards fhall the Children of Ifrael return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their King, and be aftonifhed at the Lord and bis Goodness, in the latter Days. Chapter 6. Hosea mentions the Refurrection of the Ifraelites. Ver. 2. After two Days he will revive us: On the Third Day he will raife us up, and we fhall live in his Sight. And Chap. 13. yer. 14. I will deliver them from the Hand of Hades, and I will redeem them from. Death. (Vide the Septua gint. This is the Refurrection of the Juft....

The

£2 Efdras, ch. 7. v. 32. mentions the Refurrection. Earth fhall reftore, thofe that be afleep in, her. And the fecret Places fhall deliver those Souls that were committed to them. Ver. 43. The Day of Doom fhall be the End of this Time, and the Beginning of the Immortality to come. And Efdras's Prophecy, (which as I have observed, is the beft Key to all the Old Prophecies) gives this short Account of the Millenary State that will fucceed the Day of Doom: Chap. 8. v. 52. For unto you Paradife is opened, the Tree of Life is planted, the Time to come is prepared, Plenteoufnels is made ready, a City is builded, and Reft is allowed.. And these things are revealed by St. John, Revelat. 20. The Devil is bound, the Judgment will fit, and Rewards will be given to the Saints; they are raifed in the First Refurrection, and reign with Chrift a Thousand Years: They fhall, be Priefts of God and Chrift: And the Four Beats muft reign, on the Earth. Ch. 2. They muft eat of the Tree of Life, the hidden Man. na, and a New Name will be given, and Power over the Nations; they fhall be cloathed in White, and his Name fhall not be blotted out of the Book of Life; I will write on him the Name of my God, and of the City of my God, New Ferufalem, and Chrift's New Name; and he fhall fit in his Throne. Thus, the Stare of the Refurrection: differs from the State of the Jews, and the Cherch before it: And therefore thefe Two States, muft be diftinguished,

Amos, ch. 9. gives a plain Account of the Return of the Captivity of Ifrael, v. 14. When God will raise up the Tabernacle of David that is fallen down; v. 11. And then the Harveft and Vintage should be at the fame time, and the Corn fpring immediately, and in all Places Fruit fall. v. 13.
