TERNAL God, Light uncreated and everlasting, Maker of all things, Fount of pity, unfailing Source of goodness, Depth of love unfathomable, upon me lift up the light of Thy countenance. Shine into my heart, Thou Sun of Righteousness. Fill my soul with Thy joys. Teach me to rehearse and celebrate Thy righteous judgements, and ever to confess Thee as my Lord and merciful God. Direct the works of my hands in accordance with Thy will, and guide me to do that which is acceptable and wellpleasing to Thee, so that through my unworthiness Thy all Holy Name may be glorified, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one Power and Godhead, to Whom is due all glory, honour, and adoration for ever.
