of thought, word, or deed, By which we have provoked Thee to anger, This day and through- out our whole lives. Against Thee, O Lord, have we sinned, And to Thee do we make our confession. Turn not away Thy face from Thy servants, Whom Thou hast redeemed with the precious blood of Thy dear Son. Spare us, O Lord, we beseech Thee; Pardon all our offences; And grant us Thy grace, That henceforth we may live in Thy fear, And to Thy glory; Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord, have mercy upon us.
Christ, have mercy upon us.
Lord, have mercy upon us. UR
Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation ; But deliver us from evil: For Thine is the king- dom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen. Show us Thy mercy, O Lord.
Answer. And grant us Thy salvation.
Keep us as the apple of an eye. Answer. Hide us under the shadow of Thy
wings. Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us this night
without sin. Answer. O Lord have mercy upon us, have
mercy upon us. Turn us, O Lord of Hosts. Answer. Show the light of Thy countenance
and we shall be whole. Then may be said one or more of the Prayers fol-
lowing, taking care to substitute we, our, us, for
