As with most food program books, the proof is in the results. I read Dr. Gundry's research and went on the pre-Plant Paradox form of his plan in January 2017. At the time, I was a size 24 and had knees that barely functioned. I didn't feel well, and his scientifically-based recommendations made sense to me. Nearly 2 years later, I am down to a size 14/16, my knees are vastly improved, and I can attribute it solely to eating from his food lists. I personally know 2 others who have followed the Plant Paradox recommendations for several months, and they too have experienced very positive results (i.e., both have both been able to go off prescription arthritis, blood pressure and acid reducer medications since eliminating foods from their diets based on Dr. Gundry's recommendations). No food program works for everyone, but I can say without hesitation that this one will work for people who have negative side effects from the foods they are eating.

Instead of focusing on the usual suspects for obesity and health issues, the book goes after lectins, a form of protein found in some plants and animals fed on those.
Even though the author tries to
back his wild claims, at best, they remain dubious. He suggests these lectins work as toxins and should be avoided. Maybe for some people, but certainly not for the majority of people. Overall, I think unless you are within the minority that suffers from lectins, the book is focusing on the wrong cause.

I suffered from a mild case of chronic fatigue syndrome and was looking for a cure when I found this book and adopted its advice. It worked! As simple as that. I'm back to normal now. Original energy levels, symptoms of fatigue, excessive sweating, painful skin and body aches, headaches are all gone.

How do you peel and de-seed a tomato without cooking it. Sometimes we want a fresh tomato on our burgers.

The Plant Paradox "Lifestyle" is a true winner. This is based on my personal experience over the last 2 months. My energy level has gone through the roof and I just feel much, much better overall. We are eating more diverse, yummy food now than before. This is a true guide to health!

If lectins are so dangerous & harmful to health; why is it that those living in the "blue zones" (the areas in the world where individuals are healthiest on the planet), are thriving off of diets that are lectin abundant?
Much of this book is non-sense that is not scientifically backed properly.
