encouraged to lay this volume before the Church of Christ. He trusts to their candour to receive the work in the spirit of brotherly love. He entreats also their earnest prayers, that the Lord may graciously vouchsafe to accompany it with his Divine blessing. His prayer for each reader is, "that when Christ, who is our life, shall appear, he also may appear with him in glory."
