This novel is so well-written. I love the way John Connolly blends so many things together. There's Greek mythology, werewolves, knights, fairy tales, and the villainous Crooked Man. This book actually made me cry. It's that good.

A fairy tale for adults.
By far one of my favorite books of all time - dark, funny, and I'm not gonna lie, I may have cried a little the first time I read it. At the surface it's a modern take on old
fairy tales, but seeping with Connelly's own personal brand of horror and unrest. This isn't a lighthearted tale for kids; it's dark, it's depressing, and at times it's horrifying. There are humorous moments but they are few and far between. If you're wanting something to read to your six year old, this isn't what you're looking for.

Such a fantastic novel! I couldn't put it down or stop giggling to myself as I read it. It completely transports you. One of my all time favorite books.
