demnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John iii. 19.

Now his Righteousness is called his Light; and his Light is his Thought; and his Thought is his Word; and his Word understood and not understood is his Thought revealed or not revealed.

Moreover this is the Light that was sent into the world, and the world comprehended it not, because the thoughts of the world were evil, and not as the thoughts of God. For this was the Thought of God, according to the Word of God, -Sit still and wait for the revelation of my righteous thoughts concerning my Truth; for the Thought of God, concerning the Truth of God, is the righteousness of God.

But what saith the Scripture? That the Gentiles, who followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone, being disobedient, whereunto also they were appointed. Rom. ix. 30, 31, 32. 1 Peter ii. 8.

Now there is a double righteousness, and both are equally the gift of God. First,―The righteousness of faith in the word of God according

to the promise of God; and this is the first righteousness that is revealed at the end of the wonderful number, Two thousand three hundred days, for then the spiritual sanctuary of our God is justified by faith in the promise, that the Glory of God shall be revealed at the time appointed of the Father. But that the knowledge of the Glory of God cannot be obtained by working for it, after our thoughts, but by waiting for it the time appointed of the Spirit. And then the creature is accounted clean and pure in heart, inasmuch as the thought of the creature is then righteous, and like the thought of the Creator.

Now the Spirit from the beginning knew that the creature must wait for the revelation of the knowledge of the Glory of God; but the creature knew it not. For the creature had been taught to work for his knowledge of God by the Scriptures after his own thoughts; and the creature knew no other way.

And in that same old way the helpless creature was tempted to walk according to the foolish thought of his own spirit; and the foolish thought of his own spirit tempted him to turn aside from the wise thought of the Spirit of God. And the foolish thought of his own spirit was the transgression of the spiritual Law of faith in the thought of the Spirit, saying,-Sit still and wait for my salvation. Therefore in thought I transgressed the Commandment of my God. And

my foolish thought was the sin manifest in his sight;-For the thought of foolishness is sin. Proverbs xxiv. 9.

So then the foolish thought of the old man, in knowledge, was the child of my own spirit which my understanding willingly conceived, as the fruit to make me wise unto salvation; that is, To guide me into the knowledge of the Truth.

And this was the fruit of the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which seemed good for food that I might thereby grow in knowledge and understanding of God and his Word. Therefore I did eat the forbidden fruit of my own spirit; and instead of growing and living in knowledge of his will and understanding of his word, I died in knowledge and understanding in his sight.

For the fruit of the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil after my own thought was this,Thou shalt labour in the Scriptures after thine own thoughts, and so shalt thou grow in knowledge and understanding of God and his Word. But the fruit of the Tree of life after the thought of God was this,-Thou shalt sit still and cease from thine own thoughts, by the Scriptures, to know me and my word. And then, at the time appointed, I will reveal myself unto thee by my word. As it is written,-And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh; for the Lord revealed himself

to Samuel in Shiloh by the Word of the Lord. 1 Samuel iii. 21.

For as a natural father makes known to his natural son his Will or Commandment, which is good in his thought, by his natural speech which is the word of man; even so the spiritual Father makes known to his spiritual son his Will or Commandment, which is his good thought towards his son, by his spiritual speech, which is the Word of God.

Therefore the thought of the creature, which is spiritually called, The Work of the Devil, or the son of the Devil, must be destroyed in him: that the Thought of God, which is spiritually called, The work of God, or the Son of God, might live in him.

Therefore when the creature hath ceased to do his own will, and begins to do the will of God, then the creature is spiritually counted to have ceased from sin;-for as before he obeyed and served the creature rather than the Creator, so then he obeys and serves the Creator and his Truth, rather than the creature and his lie.

And when the creature obeys his own will, and walks in a way that is after his own thought to attain unto the knowledge of God and his Word, then the creature is spiritually called a son of the Devil, as doing the works of the Devil, as it is written,-Ye are of your father, the

Devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own for he is a liar, and the father of it. John viii. 44.

But when the creature obeys the will of God, and walks in a way that is after the thought of God, to attain unto the knowledge of God and his Word, then the creature is spiritually called a Son of God, as doing the work of God, which he had before ordained that his creature should do. As it is written,-For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians ii. 10.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus; who walk not after the flesh, to work for the knowledge of the Glory of God; but after the Spirit, to wait for the revelation of the knowledge of the glory of God. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear eternal death; but ye have received the spirit of adoption, as the adopted sons, unto eternal life, whereby we cry unto thee, and call thee, Father, as thou hast commanded, saying, Thou shalt call me, my Father; and thou shalt not turn away from walking after me. Therefore the Spirit
