PSALM CXVIII.-Ver. 15, 16, 17, 18. 15. Joy fills the dwelling of the just, Whom God has sav'd from harm: For wondrous things are brought to pass By His almighty arm. 16. Direct me in the sacred way To which Thy precepts lead; Because my chief delight has been Thy righteous paths to tread. 37. THOU art the righteous Judge, in whom Thy righteousness shall then endure, Which shall for ever last. 143. Though trouble, anguish, doubts, and dread, To compass me unite ; Beset with danger, still I make Thy precepts my delight. 144. Eternal and unerring rules Thy testimonies give : Teach me the wisdom that will make My soul for ever live. PSALM CXXI.-Ver. 1, 3, 5, 8. 1. To Sion's hill* I lift my eyes, 3. Then thou, my soul, in safety rest, 5. Shelter'd beneath th' Almighty's wings, Thou shalt securely rest, Where noon's fierce heat, or chilling night, 8. At home, abroad, in peace, in war, Till life's short journey end. *The heavenly city to which the Christian is travelling, and to which he looks continually. See Heb. xii. 22. |
