For Thy loving-kindness is ever before mine eyes : and I will walk in Thy truth.

I have not dwelt with vain persons: neither will I have fellowship with the deceitful.

I have hated the congregation of the wicked and will not sit among the ungodly.

:

I will wash my hands in innocency, O LORD and so will I go to Thine altar;

That I may show the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all Thy wondrous works.

LORD, I have loved the habitation of Thy house: and the place where Thine honour dwelleth.

O shut not up my soul with the sinners nor my life with the blood-thirsty.

In whose hands is wickedness: and their right hand is full of gifts.

But as for me, I will walk innocently O deliver me, and be merciful unto me.

:

My foot standeth right I will praise the LORD in the congregations.

A Confession.

To be said by the whole Family.

MOST gracious GOD and heavenly FATHER, we humbly acknowledge that we are not worthy to appear before Thee. Every day do we offend against Thy holy law, and provoke Thy wrath. O LORD, we confess unto Thee our wickedness, and are sorry for our sin. For Thy Name's sake, O LORD, remember not our offences, but according to Thy mercy think Thou upon us for Thy goodness. Show us, we beseech Thee, Thy ways, and teach us Thy paths, that we may bring forth fruits meet for repentance, to Thy honour and glory; through JESUS CHRIST Our LORD. Amen.

GRA

RANT, we beseech Thee, merciful LORD, to Thy faithful people pardon and peace, that they may be cleansed from all their sins, and serve Thee with a quiet mind; through JESUS CHRIST our LORD. Amen. Our FATHER, &c.

(Collect for the Day.)

LORD, we beseech Thee to regard with Thy favour this family and household. Vouchsafe unto us all, in our several stations, grace to discharge faithfully our duty to Thee and to each other, as knowing that we all have a Master in heaven. Grant that we may be just and honest in our dealings, true and guileless in our words, gentle and forbearing in our tempers. Make us thankful for the many blessings which we enjoy, but chiefly for the hopes and privileges of our calling in CHRIST JESUS; grant that we may walk humbly before Thee, as His servants upon earth, and that finally we may be partakers of His eternal glory in heaven. Hear us, O LORD, for His sake Who died for us, that we might live unto Him, our only Mediator and Redeemer. Amen.

Or,

GOD, Who hast commanded that no man should be idle, but that we should all work with our hands the thing that is good; graciously look upon Thy servants now going forth to do their duty in that station of life unto which Thou hast called them. May Thy blessings be upon us, upon our labours, upon our substance, and upon all that belongs to us. Give us grace that we may honestly improve all the talents Thou hast committed to our trust; and that no worldly business or pleasure may divert us from the thoughts of the life to come; through JESUS CHRIST Our LORD. Amen.

O LORD, save Thy people :
And bless Thine inheritance.

TERCIFUL GOD, bless and preserve our Queen,
and all who are set over us.
Look with mercy

on this parish, (or place, or city,) and supply the needs of those who are suffering in soul or body, the sick, the dying, the tempted, the fallen. We pray for Thy special blessing upon our relations and friends (particularly -); and vouchsafe, O LORD, to all Thy faithful servants, peace and everlasting bliss; through JESUS CHRIST our LORD. Amen.

O LORD, open Thou our lips:

And our mouth shall show forth Thy praise.

MOST

OST gracious GOD, we offer our most humble thanks to Thee for the rest which Thou hast given to us in the past night, and for all Thy mercies Vouchsafed to us. Grant us grace so to use Thy blessings, and the life which Thou hast preserved, that we may love and serve Thee ever more and more; through JESUS CHRIST our LORD. Amen.

ALMIGHTY GOD, the fountain of all wisdom, Who

knowest our necessities before we ask, and our ignorance and unworthiness in asking; we beseech Thee to have compassion upon our infirmities; and those things, which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask, vouchsafe to give us, for the worthiness of Thy SON JESUS CHRIST our LORD. Amen.

THE grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, and the love of GOD, and the fellowship of the HOLY Amen.

GHOST, be with us all evermore.

Monday Evening.

Psalm xxxiv. 11-22. Venite filii.

COME, ye children, and hearken unto me: I will

teach you the fear of the LORD.

:

What man is he that lusteth to live and would fain see good days?

:

Keep thy tongue from evil and thy lips, that they speak no guile.

Eschew evil, and do good: seek peace, and ensue it. The eyes of the LORD are over the righteous and His ears are open unto their prayers.

:

The countenance of the LORD is against them that do evil to root out the remembrance of them from the earth.

:

:

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth them and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a contrite heart and will save such as be of an humble spirit. Great are the troubles of the righteous

:

LORD delivereth him out of all.

:

but the

He keepeth all his bones : so that not one of them is broken.

But misfortune shall slay the ungodly and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

The LORD delivereth the souls of His servants : and all they that put their trust in Him shall not be destitute.

Glory be to the FATHER, &c.

'HE LORD is my light, and my salvation; whom then shall I fear the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom then shall I be afraid?

When the wicked, even mine enemies, and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh they stumbled and fell.

Though an host of men were laid against me, yet shall not my heart be afraid and though there rose up war against me, yet will I put my trust in Him.

One thing have I desired of the LORD, which I will require even that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the fair beauty of the LORD, and to visit His temple.

For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His tabernacle yea, in the secret place of His dwelling shall He hide me, and set me up upon a rock of stone. And now shall He lift up mine head enemies round about me.

Therefore will I offer in His dwelling an oblation with great gladness I will sing, and speak praises unto the LORD.

:

Hearken unto my voice, O LORD, when I cry unto Thee have mercy upon me, and hear me.

My heart hath talked of Thee, Seek ye My face: Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

O hide not Thou Thy face from me nor cast Thy servant away in displeasure.

Thou hast been my succour leave me not, neither forsake me, O GOD of my salvation.

When my father and my mother forsake me the LORD taketh me up.

Teach me Thy way, O LORD and lead me in the right way, because of mine enemies.
