Holy Ghost, L.M. 32 Praise the Lord, all ye nations.—Ps. 1 117, 1. FROM all that dwell below the skies Let the Creator's praise arise: Let the Redeemer's name be sung Through every land, by every tongue. 2 Eternal are Thy mercies, Lord; Eternal truth attends Thy word: [shore Thy praise shall sound from shore to Till suns shall rise and set no more. THE WORK OF GOD IN CREATION. C.M. 33 He that built all things is God.— 1 I Heb. 3, 4. SING the Almighty power of God, That made the mountains rise, That spread the flowing seas abroad, And built the lofty skies. 2 I sing the wisdom that ordained The sun to rule the day; The moon shines full at His command, 3 I sing the goodness of the Lord, 4 There's not a plant or flower below 5 In heaven He shines with beams of love 6 His hand is my perpetual guard, Why should I then forget the Lord, C.M. 34 Let us come before His presence with 1 thanksgiving.-Ps. 95, 2. SING to the Lord Jehovah's name, And in His strength rejoice; When His salvation is our theme, Exalted be our voice. 2 With thanks approach His awful sight, And psalms of honour sing; The Lord's a God of boundless might, The whole creation's King. 3 Earth with its caverns dark and deep Lies in His spacious hand; He fixed the seas what bounds to keep, And where the hills must stand. 4 Come, and with humble souls adore; O may the creatures of His power S.M. 35 In all places of His dominion.-Ps. 1 2 103, 22. GOD of Almighty power, How glorious are Thy ways! Angels Thy majesty adore, All creatures speak Thy praise. Wherever earth is fair, Or brighter worlds extend, Almighty Sovereign, Thou art there, 3 And where the stars are not, 4 Nor sun hath ever-shone, Beyond the flight of human thought, Heaven is Thy glorious throne, 5 And while they bless Thy name, Hell trembles at Thy rod; Earth, heaven, and hell Thy power proclaim, All things proclaim Thee, God. C.M. 36 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous. 1 RE -Ps. 33, 1, EJOICE, ye righteous, in the Lord; Sing of His name, His ways, His word, 2 His mercy and His righteousness The flowing seas their limits know, 5 Ye tenants of the spacious earth, 6 Lord, let our hearts in Thee rejoice, C.M. 37 And there was the hiding of His 1 power.-Hab. 3, 4. HOW excellent, O Lord, Thy name Spread through eternity, Thy fame 2 These lower works that swell Thy praise, High as man's thoughts can tower, Are but a portion of Thy ways, The hiding of Thy power. 3 Oh! shouldst Thou rend aside the veil, And show Thy dwelling-place, [fail; The souls which Thou hast made would "Twere death to see Thy face. 4 Can none behold that face and live? 5 Millions before His presence stand, 38 It is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves.-Ps. 100, 3. 1 GIVE thanks to Him who made Came for rebel man to die; C.M. 39 All Thy works shall praise Thee, O 1 Lord.-Ps. 145, 10. PRAISE ye the Lord, immortal choir, heavenly heights above, With harp, and voice, and souls of fire, Burning with perfect love. 2 Shine to His glory, worlds of light, Ye million suns of space, Ye moons and glistening stars of night, Running your mystic race. |
