SATURDAY MORNING.

'Our Father,' etc.

MORNING PRAYER.

O GOD, to Whom one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day; be with us on this the last day of another week. Bless us in the closing hours of toil, and prepare us for Thy Holy Rest Day, with all its privileges and means of grace. May we obtain in them new strength for our Christian course, till we come at last into Thy glorious presence, where time shall be no more. Grant this prayer, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

OBEDIENCE.

ALMIGHTY GOD, Who didst require of the first Adam obedience to Thy Will; enable us to profit by the lesson of his fall, and, following the example of the second Adam, our Lord Jesus Christ, to be obedient unto Thee in all things, even unto death, that we may be exalted at last into Thy kingdom of glory, for His merits and atonement, in Whose Name we offer this our prayer, and to Whom, with Thee and the Holy Ghost, be all glory and praise, now and for evermore. Amen.

AGAINST SINS OF SPEECH.

O LORD, Who requirest holiness and truth in the inward parts; so purify our souls by Thy Holy Spirit, that the words of our lips, and the meditation of our hearts, may always be acceptable in Thy sight, O God our strength and our Redeemer. Amen.

FOR THE Clergy.

O GOD, Who didst give unto Thy Church Apostles and Prophets, Pastors and Teachers, for the edifying of the saints, and for the work of the ministry; bless the clergy, and teach them by Thy Holy Spirit, that they may hold fast the doctrine of Thy Apostles, and preach in the faith of Thy Prophets, that they may be good shepherds of Thy flock, and wise teachers of Thy Word, to the edification of Thy Church and the glory of Thy Holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

FOR UNITY.

O THOU GOD OF PEACE AND LOVE, fill us with Thy grace, that we may be all of one mind, and have compassion one of another; that we may love as brethren, be pitiful, courteous, not rendering railing for railing, but contrariwise, blessing, even as we know that we are called to inherit a blessing, through the merits of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.

THE WATer of Life.

O GOD, Who hast in Thy Holy Word invited everyone that thirsteth to take of the water of life freely, and Whose blessed Son has promised that whoever drinketh of this water shall never thirst; give us to drink of this blessed stream, that it may be in us as a well of water, springing up into everlasting life, to Thy glory and our salvation; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Third Meek.

SUNDAY MORNING.

'Our Father,' etc.

MORNING PRAYER.

O GOD, Who hast declared that Thy Word shall not return to Thee void, but shall accomplish that which Thou hast appointed it to do; bless the preaching of that Word to-day. Pour water upon them that are thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground. Let Thy Word have free course and be glorified, and grant that there may be added to the Church this day, many who shall be saved, through the merits and atonement of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAISE.

ALMIGHTY GOD, Who art worthy of all praise, honour, and worship; enable us, as we worship Thee this day, to sing with the Spirit, and with the understanding also, and accept the sacrifice of praise, even the fruit of our lips, as we give thanks to Thy Holy Name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE RESURRECTION.

O LORD GOD OF PEACE, Who hast brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, with the blood of the everlasting covenant; make

us perfect in every good work, to do Thy will, working in us that which is pleasing in Thy sight, through our risen Saviour, Jesus Christ, to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

FOR PARDON AND GUIDANCE.

O God, Who dwellest in the high and holy place, and also with him that is of a contrite and humble spirit; have mercy upon us, Thy servants, who are oppressed by the burden of our sins. Pardon our transgressions, have compassion on our infirmities, and lead us safely home into Thy presence, clothed in the white robe of Thy righteousness, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

OMNIPRESENce of God.

ALMIGHTY AND OMNIPRESENT GOD, grant unto Thy people faith to believe that Thou art ever near, and may the consciousness of Thy presence fill us with an earnest desire to please Thee, knowing that Thou art the Rewarder of them that diligently seek Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE LIVINg Bread.

O LORD JESUS CHRIST, Who hast taught us that Thou art the Living Bread, sent down from Heaven; enable us to feed on Thee by faith; and grant that, being partakers of that One Bread, we may be united in bonds of love and peace with one another through Thee, O Lord, our only Saviour and Redeemer. Amen.

MONDAY MORNING.

'Our Father,' etc.

MORNING PRAYER.

O GOD OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, Who hast taught us in everything to give thanks; we praise Thy Holy Name for Thy mercy in bringing us to the beginning of a new day. Refreshed by the rest of Thy Holy Day, and its many means of grace, we are commencing the duties of the week. Give us grace to discharge them faithfully, with a single eye to Thy glory, and grant that when our work on earth is ended, we may be received into the abiding-places prepared for them that love Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

FOR POWER Over Sin.

ALMIGHTY GOD, Who hast promised us in Thy Holy Word that sin shall not have the dominion over us; put forth Thy strength in us, and enable us to overcome the impulses to evil in our hearts, that in the Christian warfare we may become more than conquerors through Him that loved us, in Whose Name we ask this prayer, even Jesus Christ Thy Son our Lord. Amen.

FOR CHRIST'S Presence. (The Feast at Cana.) O LORD JESUs, Who didst work Thy first miracle at a marriage feast; be present with us Thy servants in all our gatherings for pleasure or recreation—and grant that we may never assemble together for any
