FOR GUIDANCE IN PRAYER.

ALMIGHTY GOD, Who hast taught us that if we ask anything according to Thy Will, Thou hearest us, whatsoever we ask ; let the Holy Spirit guide all our prayers, that they may be directed in the way of Thy Will, so that we may have the petitions that we ask of Thee; in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

FOR GRACE.

O LORD, the God of all grace, grant unto us Thy Holy Spirit, that we may grow in grace, and in the knowledge and love of Thee, through our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Who, with Thee and the Holy Spirit, liveth and reigneth one God, now and evermore. Amen.

CONCLUDING Prayer.

O GOD, Who hast told us in everything, with thanksgiving, to make our wants known unto Thee; receive our praises for Thy many mercies, temporal and spiritual, and grant us our requests, so far as they are in accordance with Thy will, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

'The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,' etc.

Fourth Week.

SUNDAY MORNING.

'Our Father,' etc.

MORNING PRAYER.

O LORD JESU CHRIST, Thou Son of Man, Who hast declared Thyself to be Lord of the Sabbath; reign in the hearts of Thy people this Holy Day. Bring all our thoughts into harmonious obedience to Thy will. Fill us with Thine own zeal for Thy Father's house of prayer. Be present with us in all our services of worship and praise, and enable us to glorify Thy Holy Name, O Blessed Saviour and Redeemer. Amen.

The Resurrection LIFE. (ROM. vi. 3-11.)

O GOD, the Father Almighty, grant unto us, that as we were buried with Christ, through baptism, into death, so we may also be raised from the death of sin, through Him, and that having died unto sin, we may live unto Thee, in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

PRAISE.

ALMIGHTY GOD, Who hast told us that whoso offereth praise glorifieth Thee; be with us this day in Thy Sanctuary, as we worship Thy Holy Name. Tune our hearts

to Thy service, and enable us to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable unto Thee, by Jesus Christ our Lord, to Whom, with Thee and the Holy Spirit, be all honour and glory, now and for evermore. Amen.

AGAINST SCHISM.

O LORD JESUS CHRIST, the Head of the Church, which is Thy Body; teach us by Thy Spirit to remember that we are all members of this one Body, and may we never, in following our own will, break the unity that should exist amongst Thy people, but ever seek humbly to follow Thee in godliness, and peace, all the days of our life, to the glory of Thy Holy name. Amen.

FOR THOSE WHO ARe Absent FROM GOD'S HOUSE THROUGH SICKNESS OR TRIAL.

O GOD OF LOVE AND MERCY, be with those Thy servants who are prevented by sickness or trial from worshipping with Thy people in Thy house this day. Visit them with Thy presence, teach them by Thy Holy Spirit, comfort, strengthen, and direct them, for Jesus Christ's sake, our Blessed Redeemer and Advocate. Amen.

THE BREAD of Life.

O MOST GLORIOUS CHRIST, Who hast told us that Thou art the Bread of Life; feed us evermore with Thyself, that we may live by Thee, and in Thee, here; and raise us up at the last day, to reign with Thee in Thine everlasting glory. Hear us from Thy Throne in Heaven, and give us an answer of peace, for Thy Name's sake. Amen.

MONDAY MORNING.

'Our Father,' etc.

MORNING PRAYER.

O GOD, our Heavenly Father, Who hast taught us in everything to give thanks; we praise Thy Holy Name for Thy mercy in bringing us to the beginning of a new day. Refreshed by the rest of Thy Holy Day, and its many means of grace, we are now commencing the duties of the week. Give us grace to discharge them faithfully, with a single eye to Thy glory, and grant that when our work on earth is ended, we may be received into the abiding-places prepared for them that love Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

IMITATION Of Christ.

O MERCIFUL SAVIOUR, Who when on earth went about doing good, and healing those who had need of healing; give us grace to imitate Thy mercy and loving-kindness, and to seek the good of others, rather than our own, to the comfort of the sorrowing, and the strengthening of the weak. Grant this prayer, O Merciful Redeemer. Amen.

FOR GUIDANCE IN OUR VOCATION.

ALMIGHTY GOD, Who in Thy wisdom dost place men in various callings, and dost command them to abide therein with Thee; grant unto us Thy grace, that in following our vocation, we may be led and guided by Thee. En

able us to be just in our dealings with our fellow-men, and ever to walk in the paths of uprightness, honesty, and truth, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

TEMPTATION.

O LORD JESUS CHRIST, Who wast tempted in all points like as we are, yet without sin; remember our frailty, and help us by Thy Holy Spirit in every hour of temptation. Enable us to draw strength from Thy Holy Word, and by it to silence the Tempter, as Thou didst, and grant that when the temptation is over, we, like Thee, may receive from Heaven comfort and strength. Hear us,

O Lord, for Thine own Name's sake, and answer us. Amen.

OBEDIENCE.

O GOD, Who alone canst govern the impulses of human hearts; let us not be borne onward upon the current of our own desires, but guided by Thy Holy Spirit into the peaceful waters of obedience and love, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

FOR LIGHT.

O LORD JESUS CHRIST, Thou Great Teacher, in Whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, enable us, Thine ignorant servants, to learn of Thee what none can teach us but Thyself, Who dwellest in the bosom of the Father. Hear us, and enlighten us, by Thy words, and by Thy life, for Thy name's sake. Amen.
