Xosea đó no one testify of these the tom propues, from is days, ever to Un tape Sorg at. Yes auc veu i aranan ser o me Cong wit was filed witi gladness and did reimeɛ. Ita unā benoud I may unto you, that Abraham not más key of these but the Were toany before the arts of Abraham Who We Ad by the order of God; pea even after the owa of Hà Sou; and this that it should be shewz TIM the gepata grew very thousand years before his eming. KAMA VAJA Karpion should come unto them. And now I would that ye should know, that even since the days of Abraham, there have been many prophets that have testiñed these things; yea, behold, the prophet Zenos did testify boldly; for the which he was slain. And behold, also Zonock, and also Ezias, and also Isaiah, and Jeremiah (Jeremiah being that same prophet who testified of the destruction of Jerusalem), And now we know that Jerusalem was destroyed according to the words of Jeremiah. O, then, why not the Son of God come, according to his prophecy?. Our father Lehi was driven out of Jerusalem because he testified of these things. Nephi also testified of these things, and also almost all of our fathers, even down to this time; yea, they have testified of the coming of Christ, and have looked forward, and have rejoiced in his day which is to come. And behold, he is God, and he is with them, and he did manifest himself unto them, that they were redeemed by him; and they gave unto him glory, because of that which is to come.

Alma xix. & And now, my son, I would say somewhat unto you concerning the coming of Christ. Behold, I say unto you, that it is he that surely shall come, to take away the sins of the world; yea, he cometh to declare glad tidings of salvation unto his people. And now, my son, this was the ministry unto which ye were called, to declare these glad tidings unto this people, to prepare their minds; or rather that salvation might come unto them, that they may prepare the minds of their children to hear the word at the time of his coming.

4 And now I will ease your mind somewhat on this subject. Behold, you marvel why these things should be known So long beforehand. Behold, I say unto you, is not a soul at this time as precious unto God, as a soul will be at the

time of his coming? Is it not as necessary that the plan of redemption should be made known unto this people, as well as unto their children? Is it not as easy at this time, for the Lord to send his angel to declare these glad tidings unto us, as unto our children; or as after the time of his coming?

And

Moroni vii. 3 For behold, God knowing all things, being from everlasting to everlasting, behold, He sent angels to minister unto the children of men, to make manifest concerning the coming of Christ; and in Christ there should come every good thing. And God also declared unto Prophets, by His own mouth, that Christ should come. behold, there were divers ways that he did manifest things unto the children of men, which were good; and all things which are good, cometh of Christ, otherwise men were fallen, and there could no good thing come unto them. Wherefore, by the ministering of angels, and by every word which proceeded forth out of the mouth of God, men began to exercise faith in Christ; and thus by faith, they did lay hold upon every good thing; and thus it was until the coming of Christ. And after that he came, men also were saved by faith in his name; and by faith, they become the sons of God.

Sec. x. 12 But, behold. I say unto you, that I, the Lord God. gave uno Adam and unto his seed that they should not die as to the temporal death, until I, the Lord God, should send forth angels to declare unto them repentance and redemption, through faith on the name of mine Only Begotten Son.

See. ii. 5 Wherefore the Almighty God gave His Only Begotten Son, as it is written in those Scriptures which have been given of him. He suffered temptations, but gave no hped unto them: he was crucified, died, and rose again the third day; and ascended into heaven, to sit down on the right hand of the Father, to reign with almighty power, according to the will of the Father, that as many as would believe and be baptized in his holy name, and endure in faith to the end, should be saved: not only those who believed after he came in the meridian of time, in the flesh, but all those from the beginning, even as many as were before he came, who believed in the words of the holy Prophets, who spake as they were inspired by the gift of the Holy Ghost, who truly testified of him in all things, should have eternal life, as well as those who should come after, who should believe in the gifts and callings of God by the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of the Father, and of the Son; which Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one God, infinite and eternal, without end. Amen.

And He also said unto him, if thou wilt turn unto me, and hearken unto my voice, and believe, and repent of all thy transgressions, and be baptized even by water, in the name of mine Only Begotten Son, which is full of grace and truth, which is Jesus Christ, the only name which shall be en under heaven, whereby salvation shall come unto the Iren of men; ye shall ask all things in his name, and ever ye shall ask, it shall be given.-Prophecy of

uge 15 And after many days an angel of the Lord peared unto Adam, saying, Why dost thou offer sacrifices to the Lord? And Adam said unto him, I know not, save e Lord commanded me. And then the angel spake, say

ing, This thing is a similitude of the sacrifice of the Only Begotten of the Father, which is full of grace and truth. Wherefore, thou shalt do all that thou doest in the name of the Son, and thou shalt repent and call upon God in the name of the Son for evermore.

And in that day the Holy Ghost fell upon Adam, which bore record of the Father, and the Son, saying, I am Jesus Christ from the beginning, henceforth and for ever, that as thou hast fallen thou mayest be redeemed; and all mankind, even as many as will. Page 2 I give unto you a commandment to teach these things freely unto your children, saying, That, inasmuch as they were born into the world by the fall which bringeth death, by water and blood and the Spirit, which I have made, and so become of dust a living soul, even so ye must be born again of water and the Spirit, and cleansed by blood, even the blood of mine Only Begotten, into the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven; that ye may be sanctified from all sin, and enjoy the words of eternal life in this world, and eternal life in the world to come, even immortal glory. * ** And now, behold, I say unto you, this is the plan of salvation unto all men: the blood of mine Only Begotten, which shall come in the meridian of time.-Prophecy of Enoch.
