I have the Misfortune to be deprived of the Judgment of all modern Writers, by that unhappy Mistake of the Fire at the Orb of the Sun, for the Shemofh, Sol, Light, irradiating or proceeding. I fhall offer one, as it ftands with another Miftake in it, because he knew not what Glory was, and leave the Reader to fet it right. Glafius 1173. "On Account of the Denomination of Light, which is attributed to God by reafon of his Effence and Majefty, the Son of God is called the Brightness or Splendor of the Glory of God, Heb. i. 3. To be fhort, the Reafon of the Appellation is primary, and fecondary.
