THAT this selection from the first three volumes of the American Preacher, may be purchased at a cheap rate, and thus have a more general spread and usefulness, all the fermons before meetings of the clergy are omitted, except one by the late President Witherspoon. A few excellent discourses on doctrinal and practical subjects are also left out, as other fermons on the same subjects of equal merit have been lately published in Britain. If this selection meets with the expected encouragement, another volume will be published when sufficient materials are received from America. |
