THIS little work has been undertaken chiefly from a desire to place in the hands of young persons specimens of good poetry, free from those false sentiments by which so many of our first poets have marred the beauty of their productions.

The 'FORGET ME NOT' boasts of nothing original-the Compiler is no poet, unless he may claim the title on the authority of Byron, when

he says,
