when the Seventh Trumpet sounds, and great voices are heard in heaven, saying The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. Rev. xi, 15.

It will be observed, that in the foregoing calculation, there is no distortion of language from its plain and obvious meaning. Each event occupies the precise place, which Holy Scripture, taken verbatim et literatim, assigns to it. And the sum of the whole is-that the Apocalyptic Prophecies are as yet, unfulfilled; and, for the most part, remain to be fulfilled, in the 2400 days, immediately anterior to our Lord's next Advent.

I conclude, by presenting to the reader, Daniel's prophecy of the Seventy Weeks, as I think it should. be rendered::

"From the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem, unto the Prince Messiah, shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall. even in troublous times. And after the threescore and two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, and shall have nothing; and the people of the Prince that cometh, shall destroy the city and the sanctuary, and the end thereof shall be with a flood and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and in the Temple of the Lord there shall be abomination, even until the consummation, and that determined, shall be poured upon the Desolator." Dan. ix, 25-27.
