Then the Prieft fprinkles the boughs with holy water, to teach vs that wee ought to purify our felves in receiuing a bleffing from God, and to practise what the Church defigns by these boughs.

Thou shalt fprinkle me with Ifop and I shall be cleanfed: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter then fnow.

The Prieft then incenfeth the boughs to inftruct vs that all the bleffing comes from God, and that wee ought to beg that our prayers may afcend as Incenfe towards him.
