PREFACE.

THE following plain Sermons, preached in the performance of very humble parish duty, are published in the hope that they may be read by persons who have not time, nor opportunity, to follow the doctrines of the Church, through long and learned works. The author has to apologise for many inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the printing of the following sheets, for which he is alone responsible, which passed uncorrected, in the haste of revising the proofs at a great distance from London.
