v. 7. That being juftified by his grace we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Eph. i. 7. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of fins, according to the riches of his grace.

Rom. v. 17. For if by oneman's offence, death reigned by one: much more they who receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteoufnefs, fhall reign in life by one, Jefus Christ. v, 18. There fore as by the offence of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even fo by the righteoufnefs of one, the free gift came upon all men unto juftification of life. v. 19. For as by one man's difobedience many were made finners: fo by the obedience of one, shall many be made righteous. Rom. iv. 6. Even as David alfo defcribeth the bleffedness of the man uato whom God imputeth righteousness with out works. v. 7. Saying, Bleffed are they whofe iniquities are forgiven, and whofe Gus are covered. v. 8. Bleffed is the man to whem the Lord will not impute fin.

Although Chrift by his obedience and death, did make a proper, real, and full fatisfaction to God's juftice in the behalf of them that are juftified c: yet in as much as God accepteth the fatisfaction from a furety which he might have demanded of them; and did provide this furety, his own only Son d, imputing

but by the faith of Jefus Chrift, even we have believed in Jefus Chrift; that we might be juftified by the faith of Chrift, and not by the works of the law for by the works of the law fhall no flesh be juftified. Phil. iii. 9. And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Chrift, the righteoufnefs which is of God by faith.

71. Rom. v. 8. But God commendeth his love towards us, in that while we were yet finners, Chrift died for us. v. 9. Much more then being now juftified by his blood, we fhall be faved from wrath through him. v. 10. For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son: much more being reconciled, we fhall be faved by his life. v. 19. For as by one man's difobedience many were made fiuners: fo by the obe. dience of one fhall many be made righteous.

A. Juftifying faith is a faving grace i, wrought in the heart of a fmaer by the Spirit &, and word of God 1, whereby he, being convinced of his fin and mifery, and of the disability in himfelf and all other creatures to recover him out of his loft condi
