ance, to forgive all our sins of omission and commission; our negligences, ignorances, and infirmities, and to enable us to walk before thee in godly liberty, and a quiet conscience,

We beseech thee, &c.

O Christ, hear us ;

O Christ, hear us.

O Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world;

Have mercy upon us.

O Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world;

Receive our prayer.

O Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world;

Grant us thy peace.

Christ, have mercy upon us;

Lord, have mercy upon us.

Christ, have mercy upon us.

Let us pray.

Ever blessed God, our Creator and Redeemer, direct all our hearts, we beseech thee, into the supreme and constant love of thyself. May it be our joy to glorify thy name! Grant that in every thing we may intend and seek to do thy will, and may regulate all our thoughts, words, and actions, by desire of conformity to thy image. Keep us ever mindful that we love thee, because thou hast first loved us. May we cherish within us thy Holy Spirit, and daily exhibit more of his blessed influence. And growing up unto thee our living

head, may be kept one with thee, and the Father, in the unity of the same spirit, world without end. Amen.

Or this,

O ALMIGHTY God, the fountain of all goodness, raise up our souls into a fervent love of thee, and subdue our hearts to a cheerful and entire submission to thy will, which is ever truly wise, holy, and good. Enable us joyfully to glorify thee, in the path wherein thou directest our daily steps. Grant us a fresh baptism of the Holy Ghost, nor leave us destitute of thy manifold and good gifts. Keep us as the sheep of thy pasture, defended from all enemies, and guided by thy rod and staff, who art ever the shepherd and bishop of our souls, and who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, art one God, world without end. Amen.

Our Father, &c.

DOXOLOGY AND THANKSGIVING.

WE praise thee, O God; we confess thee, O Christ:

We acknowledge thee to be the Lord.

To him who is King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, God over all;

Be glory for ever and ever.

To him, who for us endured the cross, despising the shame, that he might redeem us by his own blood;

Be glory for ever and ever.

To him who is worthy to receive praise, blessing,

glory, and honour from every creature in heaven, on earth, and under the earth ;

Be glory for ever and ever,

We praise thee, we bless thee, we worship thee, we glorify thee: we give thanks to thee for thy great glory, and for thy great goodness, who with the Father, and the eternal Spirit, art ever most High, one holy and undivided Trinity, world. without end. Amen.

CONCLUDING COLLECT.

ALMIGHTY, and eternal God, make us to abound this day in all such good works as thou hast prepared for us to walk in. Nourish us with all goodness, and of thy great mercy keep us in the same, and in the devout love of thy name, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Or this,

O GOD, the true and only source of all goodness and felicity, make us glad with thy favour, and sanctify us in body and spirit to serve thee this, and every day of our lives. Be our shield from every adversary of our souls; draw us on into closer. communion with thee: fill us out of thine own fulness, and so satisfy us therewith that we thirst not after any but thee, who with the Son, and Holy Ghost, art one God, world without end.

Amen.

be with us,

MAY grace, mercy, and peace, and with all the Israel of God, this day, and evermore.

Amen.

FRIDAY EVENING.

WE acknowledge, O Lord, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee. Do not abhor us for thy name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us. Jer. xiv. 20, 21.

When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. Jonah ii. 7.

What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark xi. 24.

If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Romans viii. 31, 32.

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. James v. 13.

4. Thus will I bless thee while I live; I will up my hands in thy name. lxiii. 3, 4. 5. As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried; he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

6. For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God?

7. It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. xviii. 30, 31, 32.

8. For the word of the Lord is right, and all his works are done in truth. xxxiii. 4.

9. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him : fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

10. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

11. For evil-doers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
