He went to the metropolis to undergo an operation for an aneurism of the arm, brought on by phlebotomy unskilfully performed several years ago. The excision was dexterously effected by an eminent surgeon, and for several days flattering hopes were entertained of a perfect recovery; but on Monday the blood rushed to the head, and death quickly seized his victim, to the incalculable loss of his numerous and disconsolate family.
