DEAR READER, Permit a well-wisher to your present and future happiness, to call your attention to a subject of the greatest importance. You possess an immortal soul; and whatever be your age, circumstances, or prospects, you must shortly exchange this world for another. You may now be favoured with health of body, and cheerfulness of mind; you may be surrounded with every thing pleasant here, and be looking forward to long life; but remember, you must die, and, after death, you must appear before the solemn tribunal of the Judge of the whole earth. It is of infinite consequence, therefore, that you seek his favour, that you may be found of him in peace.
