3 Oh rich reward for every groan!
Oh victory complete!

To call a ransomed world his own,
And hail it to his feet.

4 Yes, the great work shall onward
The firm decree is past;

go;

The nations to their Lord shall flow,
And all be Christ's at last.

5 Oh hasten, Lord, those blessed times,
Lead all thy wanderers home;
Convert this world of woes and crimes,
And bid thy kingdom come!

REVELATION xxii. 17.

H, what amazing words of
Are in the gospel found,
Suited to every sinner's case,
Who hears the joyful sound!

grace

2 Whoever will, the Lord declares,
May of his grace partake;

Each willing soul the blessing shares,
And lives for Jesus' sake.

3 Outcasts from God, your whole distress,
Your every evil bring;

And quench your thirst of happiness
At this celestial spring.

4 Millions of sinners, such as you,

Have here found life and peace;
Oh, come and prove his promise true,
And let your sorrows cease.

PSALM CİV.

10, 11.

1 OH, worship the King, all glorious above,

And gratefully sing his power and his love; Our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of days, Pavilion'd in splendor, and girded with praise.

2 Oh, tell of his might, and sing of his grace, Whose robe is the light, whose canopy space; His chariots of wrath the deep thunder clouds form And dark is his path on the wings of the storm.

3 The earth with its store of wonders untold, Almighty! thy power hath founded of old; Hath established it fast by a changeless decree, And round it hath cast, like a mantle, the sea.

4 Thy bountiful care what tongue can recite!
It breathes in the air, it shines in the light;
It streams from the hills, it descends to the plain,
And sweetly distils in the dew and the rain.

5 Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
In thee do we trust, nor find thee to fail:
Thy mercies how tender, how firm to the end,
Our Maker, Defender, Redeemer and Friend.

6 O measureless might, ineffable love,
While angels delight to hymn thee above,
The humbler creation, though feeble their lays,
With true adoration shall lisp to thy praise.

1 TIMOTHY ii. 1.

OMNISCIENT and almighty Lord
Thy power to us make known;
Now may thy Spirit and thy word
Break every heart of stone.

2 May sinners, softened, now begin
Their foolishness to mourn;
And turn at once from every sin,
And to the Saviour turn.

3 Give them themselves and thee to know
In this accepted day;

Repentance unto life bestow,

And take their sins away.

4 Though they are chained in unbelief
Each captive now release;
Fill every soul with sacred grief,
And then with sacred peace.

5 The greatness of thy love declare
Show all their sins forgiven;
And then by holiness prepare
Each for the bliss of heaven.

PSALM 1xxii.

N thee alone, O God, we wait,
When sorrow makes us desolate;
To thee alone we love to fly,

When danger and distress are nigh.

2 Thou art our Rock, whose height sublime Nor force nor fraud can ever climb;

The refuge which thy people seek, The strength and safety of the weak. 3 Protected by thy power and grace, We want no better hiding-place; And when oppressed by earthly care, Pour out our hearts to thee in

prayer. 4 Vain were the help of every friend, Shouldst thou not comfort and defend; And if thou spread'st thy shield around, Nor man can harm nor Satan wound. 5 O great, O good, beyond compare, Since thou dost make us thus thy care, Thy servants may we live and die, Then praise thee to eternity.

NE there is above all others,

ON

Well deserves the name of Friend;

His is love beyond a brother's,
Costly, free, and without end:
They who once his kindness prove,
Find it everlasting love.

2 Which of all our friends to save us,

Could or would have shed his blood?
But our Saviour died to have us
Reconciled in him to God:

This was boundless love indeed;
Jesus is a Friend in need.

8. 7. 7.

3 When he lived on earth abased,
Friend of sinners was his name;
Now, above all glory raised,
He rejoices in the same:

Still he calls them brethren, friends,
And to all their wants attends.
4 Could we bear from one another,
What he daily bears from us?
Yet more faithful than a brother
Though he sees us treat him thus,
Though for good we render ill,
He is kind and gracious still.
5 Oh, for grace our hearts to soften,
Teach us, Lord, at length to love;
We, alas, forget too often,

What a Friend we have above:
But when home our souls are brought,
We will love thee as we ought.

1 OTHER conquerors may gain
Glory by their myriads slain;

Jesus thy more glorious strife
Hath restored the dead to life.

2 That which Christ so hardly wrought,
That which he so dearly bought,
That salvation, sinners, say,
Will you madly cast away?

3 We will glory in his name,

Bear the cross, despise the shame ;
