Where will the growing numbers end,
The numbers of thy grace?

2 Thou art our everlasting trust,
Thy goodness we adore;
And till we shall return to dust,
We'll praise thee more and more.

3 Our feet shall travel all the length
Of the celestial road;

And march with courage in thy strength,
To see our Father, God.

OUR

PSALM Xxiii.

UR Shepherd will supply our need,
Jehovah is his name;

In pastures fresh he makes us feed,
Beside the living stream.

2 He brings our wandering spirits back,
When we forsake his ways;
And leads us, for his mercy's sake,
In paths of truth and grace.

C. M.

3 When we walk through the shades of death, He still shall be our stay;

His presence shall support our faith,
And drive our fears away.

L. M.

UR songs shall bless the Lord of all,
Our prayers shall climb to his abode :

Jesus to thee for help we call

As the Supreme, Almighty God.

2 Without beginning or decline, Object of faith, and not of sense; Eternal ages saw him shine;

He shines eternal ages hence.

3 Ere the blue heavens were stretched abroad In the beginning was the Word;

With God he was; and he was God,
Eternally to be adored.

4 'Tis by his power all things were made
By him supported all things stand;
He is the whole creation's head,
And angels fly at his command.

5 Our souls shall bless the Lord of all,
Our prayers shall climb to his abode;
Jesus to thee for help we call
As the Supreme, Almighty God.

PSALM XXXi. 15.

UR times are in thy hand,

OUR

O God we wish them there; We yield ouselves to thy command, And trust thy loving care,

S. M.

2

Our times are in thy hand,

And must well ordered be;

For by thy wisdom they are planned,
And are controlled by thee.

3

Our times are in thy hand,

Why should we doubt or fear?

Our Father may our faults withstand,
But pities every tear.

4

Our times are in thy hand,

5

We want no better guide;

Thou who hast all our weakness scanned,

Wilt for our wants providc.

Our times are in thy hand,
Thou lead'st us safely on;

And till we reach the promised land,
Thy holy will be done.

JOB i. 21. PSALM XXXI. 15.

UR times of sorrow and of joy
Great God are in thy hand;

Our sweetest comforts come from thee,
And go at thy command.

C. M.

2 If thou shouldst take what thou hast sent,
Yet would we not repine;
Though they are for our comfort lent,
They are entirely thine.

3 Nor would we ever love thee less,
Though all the world were gone;
But seek enduring happiness,

In thee, and thee alone.

4 Here pain our best delights attends,
'Tis honey mixed with gall;

Midst changing scenes and dying friends
Be thou our all in all.

PSALM CXXX.

1 UT of the depths of sin and woe,
To thee O God we pray;

Thy all-sufficient grace bestow,
Ťake all our guilt away.

2 Should'st thou with thine all-seeing eye
And thy almighty hand,
Mark and avenge iniquity,
Jehovah, who could stand.

3 But there is pardon full and free,
Since Christ our sins did bear,
That sinners reconciled to thee,
Might love, obey, and fear.
4 We wait thy help and mercy Lord,
With earnest longing wait;
For we rely upon thy word,
And know thy love is great.

5 If travellers in night's stormy hour,
Long for the dawn of day,
No less we long to see thy power:
That power to save display.

6 In God let all believers trust,
Whate'er their dangers seem;
For he is good, as well as just,
And mighty to redeem.

7 He pardons sinners through his Son,
He rescues the enslaved;

And all who trust to Christ alone,
Shall by his grace be saved.

1 CORINTHIANS V. 7.

ASCHAL Lamb, by God appointed;
All our sins on thee were laid;

By almighty love anointed,

Thou hast full atonement made.

2 Every sin may be forgiven

Through the virtue of thy blood;
Opened now the gate of heaven,
Peace is made for man with God.
3 Jesus, hail, abashed before thee,
Seraphs bright their faces hide;
All the heavenly hosts adore thee,
Seated at thy Father's side.

4 Glory, honor, power, and blessing,
Thou art worthy to receive;
Praises, then, and love unceasing,
May we all for ever give.

PSALM XVI. 10, 11.

8.7.

8. 7. 4.

1 PILGRIMS here on earth, and strangers With our weary load we bend:

Oh, how sweet, 'mid toils and dangers,
Still to have a heavenly Friend!
Christ has suffered;

And to sufferers, grace will send.

2 To the shameful cross they nailed him, And that cross became his throne:
