Magdalen College Election.-On Wednesday, July 27, Mr. John Sedgwick, commoner of Christ Church; Mr. William F. Wickham, commoner of Wadham coll. ; and Mr. Robt. F. Hessey, from Merchant Tailors' School, London, were elected Demies of Magdalen college. Mr. John Owen Parr was at the same time placed on the octave. On the following day, Mr. Henry George Joseph Parsons, B.A. on the Chichester Foundation, and Mr. Balfour, B.A. of Lincoln coll. on the open Lincolnshire Foundation, were elected Probationary Fellows. At the same time, the Rev. Wm. Francis Piekin, Rev. John Leigh Hoskyns, Mr. Henry Cadwallader
