19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as Iron, and your earth as brass.

And your strength thall be spent in vain for your land thall not yield her inereafe, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

11And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring feven times more plagues upon you, according to your fins.

22 I will also fend wild beafts among you, which hall rob you of your children, and defroy your cattle, and make you few in number, and your bigh-ways fhall be defolate. 23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by thele things, but will walk contrary unto me; 24 Then will falfo walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet feven times for your fins.

23 And I will bring a fword upon you, that fhall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will fend the peftilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

26 And when I have broken the ftaff of your bread, ten women thall bake your bread In one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye thall eat, and not be fatished.

27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

28 Then I will walk contrary unto you allo In fury and 1, even 1, will chattise you seven times for your fins.

43 The land alfo thall be left of them, and fall enjoy her fabbaths, while the lieth defolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they defpifed my judgments, and because their foul abhorred my statutes.

44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not caft them away, neither will I abhor them, to deftroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.

45 But I will for their fakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the fight of the heathen, that I might be their Cod: I am the LORD.

46 These are the ftatutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Ifrael in mount Sinai, by the hand of Mofes.

CHAP. XXVII.

Concerning vows. 28 No devoted thing may be redeemed. 32 The tithe may not be changed.

30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cant your carcafes upon the carcafes of your idols, and my foul thall abhor you.

31 And I will make your cities wafte, and bring your fanctuaries unto defolation, and will not fmell the favour of your fweet odours, 32 And I will bring the land into defola. tion; and your enemies which dwell there. in shall be astonished at it.

33 And I will fcatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a fword after you; and your land hall be defolate, and your cities watte.

34 Then thall the land enjoy her fabbaths as long as it lieth defolate, and ye be in your enemies land; even then thall the land reft, and enjoy her fabbaths.

35 As long as it lieth defolate it shall reft; because it did not reft in your fabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

36 And upon them that are left alive of you, I will fend a faintnefs into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the found of a thaken leaf thall chafe them; and they hall fee, as fleeing from a fword; and they Ball fall when none purfueth.

3 And thy eftimation thall be, of the male from twenty years old even unto fixty years old, even thy eftimation fhall be fifty thekels of filver, after the fhekel of the fanctuary.

4 And if it be a female, then thy eftima tion fhall be thirty thekels.

5 And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy eftimation fhall be of the male twenty fhekels, and for the female ten fhekels.

6 And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy eftimation shall be of the male five thekels of filver, and for the female thy eftimation fail be three thekels of filver.

And if it be from fixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation fhall be fifteen hekels, and for the female ten thekels.

8 But if he be poorer than thy eftimation, then he hall prefent himself before the prieft, and the priest fhall value him: according to his ability that vowed thall the priest value him.

9 And if it be a beaft, whereof men bring an offering unto the LORD, all that any man giveth of fuch unto the LORD fhall be holy.

10 He thall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good : and if he fhall at all change beaft for beaft; then it and the exchange thereof thall be holy.

11 And ifit be any unclean beaft, of which they do not offer a facrifice unto the LORD; then he shall present the beaf before the priest

15 And if he that fanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy eftimation unto it, and it fhall be his.

16 And if a man shall fanctify unto the Los fome part of a field of his poffeffion; then thy estimation shall be according to the feed thereof: an homer of barley feed ball be valued at fifty shekels of filver.

17 If he fanctify his field from the year of jubile, according to thy estimation it thail

18 But if he fanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest thall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it thall be abated from thy estimation.

19 And if he that fanctified the field will In any wife redeem it; then he thall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation un. to it, and it fhall be affured to him.

20 And if he will not redeem the field, or If he have fold the field to another man, it fhall not be redeemed any more.

21 But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the LORD, as a field devoted the poffettion thereof shall be the prieft's.

22 And if a man fanctify unto the LORD a field which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his poffethion;

23 Then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy cftimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine

24 In the year of the jubile the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the poffeffion of the land did belong.

25 And all thy eftimations fhall be accord. ing to the thekel of the fanctuary twenty gerahs thall be the thekel.

26 Only the firstling of the beasts, which fhould be the LORD's firftling, no man thall fanctify it: whether it be ox or theep, it is the LORD'S.

27 And if it be of an unclean beaft, then he hall redeem it according to thine efti. mation, and shall add a fifth part of it there. to: or ifit be not redeemed, then it fhall be fold according to thy eftimation.

28 Notwithflanding, no devoted thing that a man thall devote unto the LORD, ofall that he hath, both of man and beat, and of the field of his poffeftion, thall be fold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD.

29 None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, fhall be redeemed; but thall furely be put to death.

30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the feed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD's: it is holy unto the LORD.

31 And if a man will at all redeem aught of his tithes, he shall add thereto the filth part thereof.

32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever paifeth under the rod, the tenth fhall be holy unto the LORD.

33 He shall not fearch whether it be good or bad, neither thall he change it; and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof thall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.

34 These are the commandments which the LORD commanded Mofes for the chil dren of Ifrael in mount Sinai.

2 Take ye the fum of all the congrega. tion of the children of Ifrael, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their poll;

3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Ifrael: thou and Aaron fhall number them by their armies.

4 And with you there fhall be a man of every tribe, every one head of the houfe of his fathers.

5 Aud thefe are the names of the men that thall ftand with you: Of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur, the fon of Shedeur.

6 Of Simeon; Shelumiel, the fon of Zurifhaddai,

7 Of Judab; Nahshon, tl e fon of Amm nadab.

8 Of Iffachar; Nethaneel, the son of Zur 9 Of Zebulun; Eliab, the fon of Helon.

10 Of the chiidren of Jofeph: of Eph raim; Elifhama, the fon of Ammihud: of Manaffeh; Gamaliel, the fon of Pedahzur. 11 Of Benjamin; Abidan, the fon of Gideon, 12 Of Dan; Ahiezer, the fon of Amm fhaddai.

13 Of Ather; Pagiel, the fon of Ocran. 14 Of Gad; Eliafaph, the fon of Deuel. 15 Of Naphtali; Ahira, the fon of Ena

16 These were the renowned of the con gregation, princes of the tribes of their ta thers, heads of thousands in Ifrael.

17 And Mofes and Aaron took these men which are expreffed by their names:

18 And they aflembled all the congrege tion together on the first day of the fecond month; and they declared their pedigree atter their families, by the houfe of the fathers, according to the number of U names, from twenty years old and upward by their poll.

24Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to

26Of the children of Judah, by their geenerations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 27 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and fix hundred.

18 Of the children of lffachar, by their generations, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, according to the number of he names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 29 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Iffachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

7 Then the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab, the fon of Helon, ball be captain of the children of Zebulun.

14 Then the tribe of Gad: and the captain of the fons of Gad ball be Eliafaph the fon of

Reuel.

15 And his hoft, and thofe that were numbered of them, were forty and five thousand and fix hundred and fifty.

18. On the weft fide shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim, according to their armies: and the captain of the fons of Ephraim all be Elinama the fon of Am

20 And by him fall be the tribe of Manaffeh: and the captain of the children of Manaffeh fall be Gamaliel the (on of Pc. darzur

24 All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were an hundred thousand and eight thousand and an hundred, throughout their armies and they shall go forward in the third rank.

25 The ftandard of the camp of Dan fall be on the north fide by their armies: and the captain of the children of Dan bell be Ahiezer the fon of Ammifhaddai.

26 And his hoft, and thofe that were num. bered of them, were threefcore and two thousand and seven hundred.

27 And thofe that encamp by him ball be the tribe of Ather: and the captain of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the fon of Ocran.

28 And his hoft, and chofe that were num bered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

29 Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the children of Naphtali ball be Ahira, the fon of Enan.

30 And his hoft, and thofe that were num. bered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

31 All they that were numbered in the camp of Dan were an hundred thousand and fifty and feven thousand and fix hundred: they thall go hindmoft with their ftandards.

32 Thefe are thofe which were number. ed of the children of Lfracl, by the houfe off their fathers: all thofe that were numbered of the camps, throughout their hofts, were fix hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Ifrael; as the Lord commanded Mofes.

34 And the children of Ifrael did according to ail that the LORD commanded Mofes fo they pitched by their ftandards; and to they fet forward, every one after their fami lies, according to the house of their fathers,

6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and fent them before Aaron the priest, that may minifter unto him.

And they hall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation, before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the fer. vice of the tabernacle.

8 And they fhall keep all the inftruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of lfrael, to do the fervice of the tabernacle.

9 And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron, and to his fons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Ifrael.

10 And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his fons, and they fhall wait on their priest's otice: and the ftranger that cometh nigh Chall be put to death.

And the LORD spake unto Mofes,

12 And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Ifrael, instead of all the first-born that openeth the matrix among the children of Ifrael; therefore the Levites fhall be mine.

13 Because all the firit-born are mine; for, on the day that I fmote all the firft-born in the land of Egypt, I hallowed unto me all the firit-born in Ifrael, both man and beait; mine they fhall be: I am the LORD.

14 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes in the wilderness of Sinai, faying,

15 Number the children of Levi, after the houfe of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward

16 And Mofes numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.

17 And there were the fons of Levi, by their names; Gerthon, and Kohath, and Merari. 18 And there are the names of the fons ot Gerthon, by their families; Libni, and Shimel. 19 And the fons of Kohath, by their families; Amram,andizehar, Hebron, and Uzziel, 20 And the fons of Merari, by their fa milies; Mahli, and Muthi: there are the families of the Levites, according to the houfe of their fathers.

31 Of Gerthon was the family of the Libnites, and the amily of the Shimites: these are the families of the Gerthonites.

22 Thofe that were numbered of them according to the number of all the males from a month old and upward, even those that were sumbered of then, were feven thousand and five hundred.

23 The families of the Gerthonites fhall pitch behind the tabernacle weftward.

24 And the chief of the houfe of the fa

32 And Eleazar the fon of Aaron the priest ball be chief over the chief of the Levites, and have the overfight of them that keep the charge of the fanctuary.

33 Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Muthites: thefe are the families of Merari.

34 And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were fix thousand and two hundred.

35 And the chief of the houfe of the father of the families of Merari was Zuriel, the fon of Abihail: thefe fhall pitch on the fide of

the tabernacle northward.

36 And under the custody and charge of the fons of Merari fhall be the boards of the ta bernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the fockets thereof, and all the veffels thereof, and all that ferveth thereto,

37 And the pillars of the court round about, and their fockets, and their pins, and their cords.

38 But thofe that encamp betore the ta bernacle toward the caft, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, ball be Mofes, and Aaron, and his fons, keeping the charge of the fanctuary for the charge of the children of Ifrael: and the stranger that cometh nigh thall be put to death.

39 All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moles and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males, from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.

40 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Number all the firft-born of the males of the chil dren of Ifrael, from a mouth old and upward, and take the number of their names.

41 And thou thalt take the Levites for me, (I am the LORD,) instead of all the firft-born among the children of Ifrael; and the cattle of the Levites, instead of all the firflings among the cattle of the children of lfrael.

42 And Mofes numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the first-born among

the children of Ifrael.

43 And all the firft-born males, by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and three core and thirteen.

44 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,
