THAT as plain men, more at home in handling the plough than an argument, they wish to confine themfelves to PLAIN QUESTIONS; and when they urge a text of fcripture, they with a POSITIVE ANSWER IN A FEW WORDS, and not to be referred to apologies as big as the Bible, and other voluminous and expenfive publications.

THAT Your Petitioners have been informed, that there have many answers been published to these writings, and that they are old opinions new revived; but your Petitioners have neither ability to decide, nor inclination to let their fields remain untilled, or their families starve, whilst they are employed in thefe refearches.
