and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is New Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God; and I will write upon him my new name. Ver. 21. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne; even as I also overcame and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Rev. xxi. 7. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

RELATING TO THE

STATE OF THE CHURCH.

1. Of the enlargement of the Church, and the spreading of the Gospel and Kingdom of Christ through the world.

PSALMS, ii. 8. Ask of me, and I will give thee the Heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Ver. 9. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Ps. xxii. 27. All the ends of the earth shall remember, and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before him. Ver. 28. For the kingdom is the Lord's; and he is the governor among the nations.

Ps. lxvii. 2. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Ver. Y. God shall bless us, and all

the ends of the earth shall fear him. lxviii. 31. Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God. Ps. lxxii. 8. He shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. Ver. 11. Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; all nations shall serve him. Ver. 17. His name shall endure for ever; his name shall be continued as long as the sun; and men shall be blessed in him; all nations shall call him blessed. Ver. 19. Let the whole earth be filled with his glory, Ps. lxxxvi. 9. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord, and shall glorify thy name. Ps. cii. 15. The heathen shall fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. Ver. 16. When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. Ps. cx. 3. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the bea 1ties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Is. ii. 2. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. Ver. 3. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his

aths; For out of Zion shall go forth the law,

and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Micah, iv. 1, 2.

Is. xi. 10. In that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people: to it shall the Gentiles seek, and his rest shall be glorious.

Is. xl. 3. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Ver. 4. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain. Ver. 5. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Is. xlii. 1. Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my Spirit upon him; he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. Ver. 4. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth; and the isle shall wait for his law. Ver. 6. I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles. Ver. 7. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoner from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prisonhouse.

Is. xlv. 23. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone forth out of my mouth in right

eousness, and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Ver. 24. Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come, and all that are incen sed against him shall be ashamed. See Ver. 14. Is. lii. 10. The Lord hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. Is. liii. 10. When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Ver. 11. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied; by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many! for he shall bear their iniquities. Ver. 12. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong.

Is. lxv. 17. Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered nor come into mind. Is. lxvi. 8. Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed she brought forth her children. Ver. 9. Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth, saith the Lord: Shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God. Ver. 18. It shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues: and they shall see my glory.
