of this good land, which he gave to
their fathers, and shall scatter them
beyond the river, because they have
made their groves, provoking the
LORD to anger.

16 And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.

g 17 And Jeroboam's wife arose,
and departed, and came to Tirzah
and when she came to the thresh-

Israel mourned for him, according
to the word of the LORD, which he
spake by the hand of his servant
Ahijah the prophet.

he reigned, behold, they are written
in the book of the Chronicles of the
kings of Israel.

20 And the days which Jeroboam reigned were two and twenty years and he slept with his fathers; and Nadab his son reigned

in his stead.

f 27 And king Rehoboam made in their stead brazen shields, and committed them unto the hands of the chief of the guard, which kept the door of the king's house.

29 And it was so, when the king went into the house of the LORD, that the guard bare them, and brought them back into the guard

chamber.

30 And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days.

31 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess. And Abijam his son reigned in his stead.

g 21 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and dwelt in Tirzah.

out of the dust, and made thee prince
over my people Israel, and thou hast

sins;

10 And Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead.

11 ¶ And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.

a 12 Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,

5 So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

m 6 And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

7 And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

f8¶ And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
