Redemption of their Bodies, which even in Death continue united to Chrift P, and reft in their Graves as in their Beds 9 till at the Laft Day they be again united to their Souls. Whereas the Souls of the Wicked are at Death caft into Hell, where they remain in Torments and utter Darkness; and their Bodies kept in their Graves as in their Prisons, till the Refurrection and Judgment of the Great Day 87. Queft. What are we to believe concerning the Refurrection?

Anfw. We are to believe, That at the Last Day there fhall be a general Refurrection of the Dead, both of the Juft aud Unjuft: When they that are then found alive, fhall in a Moment be changed;

Rom. 8. 23. And not only they, but our felves alfo, which have the firft-fruits of the Spirit, even we our felves groan within our felves, waiting for the adoption, to wit the redemption of our body. Pfalm 16, 9. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh alfo fhall reft in hope.

P 1 Theff. 4. 14. For if we believe that Jefus died, and rofe again, even fo them alfo which fleep in Jesus, will God bring with him,

and the self fame Bodies of the Dead which were laid in the Grave, being then again united to their Souls for ever, fhall be raised up by the Power of Chrift". The Bodies of the Juft, by the Spirit of Chrift, and by Virtue of his Resurrection as their Head, fhall be raised in Power, fpiritual, incorruptible, and made like to his glorious Body W: And the Bodies of the Wicked fhall be raised up in Difhonour by him as an offended Judge *.

88. Queft. What shall immediately follow after the Refurrection?

Anfw. Immediately after the Refurrection, fhall follow the general and final Judgment of Angels

I Cor. 15. 51. Behold, I fhew you a mystery; We fhall not all neep, but we shall all be changed, v.52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the laft trump (for the trumpet fhall found) and the dead fhall be raifed incorruptible, and we fhall be changed. v. 53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 1 Theff.4.15. For this we fay unto you by the the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, fhall not prevent them which are afleep. v.16.For the Lord himfelf fhall defcend from heaven with a fhout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Chrift shall rife firft: v. 17. Then we which are alive, and remain, fhall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and fo fhall we ever be with the Lord. John 5. 28. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves fhall hear his voice, v.29. And fhall come forth, they that have

fully and for ever freed from all Sin and Misery; filled with unconceivable Joys; made perfectly holy and happy both in Body and Soul, in the Company of innumerable Saints and holy Angels', but especially in the immediate Vision and Fruition of God the Father, of our Lord Jefus Chrift, and of the Holy Spirit to all Eternity ". And this is the perfect and full Communion, which the Members of the Invisible Church fhall enjoy with Christ in Glory, at the Refurrection and Day of Judgment.

What Duty God requires of Man.

91. Queft. What is the Duty that God requireth of Man?

Anfw. The Duty which God requireth of Man, is Obedience to his revealed Will ".

1 Eph. 5.27. That he might prefent it to himself a glorious church, not having fpot or wrinkle, or any fuch thing; but that it fhould be holy and without blemish. Rev. 14. 13. And I heard a voice from heaven, faying unto me, Write, Blef fed are the dead which die in the Lord, from henceforth; yea, faith the Spirit, that they may reft from their labours; and their works do follow them.
