32. Queft, What Benefits do they that are effectually called partake of in this Life?

Anfw. They that are effectually called do in this Life partake of Juftification, Adoption a, Sanctification, and the feveral Benefits which in this Life do either accompany or flow from them.

33. Queft. What is Juftification?

Anfw. Juftification is an Act of God's free Grace, wherein he pardoneth all our Sins, and accepteth

Anfw. Adoption is an Act of God's free Grace 8, whereby we are received into the Number, and have a Right to all the Privileges of the Sons of God h

35. Queft. What is Sanctification?

Anfw. Sanctification is the Work of God's free Grace, whereby we are renewed in the whole Man after the Image of God, and are enabled

d 2 Cor. 519. To wit, that God was in Chrift, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trefpaffes unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. v. 21. For he hath made him to be fin for us, who knew no fin; that we might be made the righteoufness of God in him.

Rom. 5. 17. For if by one mans offence,death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life by one, Jefus Chrift. v. 18. Therefore as by the offence ofone, judgment came upon all men to condemnation even fo by the righteousness of one, the free gift came upon all men unto juftification of life. v. 19. For as by one mans difobedience many were made finners: fo by the obedience of one, fhall many be made righteous.

Gal. 2. 16. Knowing that a man is not juftified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jefus Chrift, even we have believed in Jefus Chrift; that we might be juftified by the faith of Chrift, and not by the works of the law for

by the works of the law fhall no flesh be juftified. Phil. 3. 9. And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Chrift, the righteoufness which is of God by faith.

34. 8 1 John 3.1. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath beftowed upon us, that we fhould be called the fons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

The Benefits which in this Life do accompany or flow from Juftification, Adoption, and Sanctification, are Affurance of God's Love, Peace of Confcience, Joy in the Holy Ghoft ", Increafe of Grace, and Perfeverance therein to the End P. 37. Queft. What Benefit do Believers receive from Chrift at Death?·

Anfw. The Souls of Believers are at their Death made perfect in Holiness, and do immediately pass into Glory, and their Bodies being ftill united to Chrift

after God is created in righteoufnefs, and true holiness.

Rom. 6. 4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptifm unto death: that like as Chrift was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even fo we alfo fhould walk in newness of life. v. 6. Know ing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of fin might be deftroyed, that henceforth we fhould not ferve fin.

36. Rom. 5. 1. Therefore being juftified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jefus Chrift. v. 2. By whom alfo we have accefs by faith into this grace wherein we ftand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. v. s. And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is fhed abroad in our hearts, by the holy Ghoft which is given unto us.

Rom. 14. 17. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteoufnefs, and peace, and joy in the holy Ghost.

Prov. 4. 18. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that fhineth more and more unto the perfect day.
