ALTHOUGH Our blessed Saviour spoke these words for the immediate purpose of calling his hearer's attention to a particular subject, yet they may no doubt be properly understood and employed, as a general exhortation to all to whom the gospel is at any time preached—“ Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand."
You may imagine how earnestly every minister, who has the spiritual improvement of his congregation at heart, must desire that every individual among them were disposed so to do.
