me by day and by night, when I sit at home and when I walk abroad, when I lie down and when I rise up, that I may be kept from all evil: and have mercy on me a sinner. Amen.

LORD Jesus Christ, I pray Thee that I may be so filled with the joy of Thy resurrection, that earthly joys may cease to hold my heart, and that all my longings may be after things heavenly. Amen.

THOU blessed Spirit, Lord and Giver of Life, Who didst come down to sanctify and to teach, to guide and to comfort Thine elect; Lead me, I beseech Thee, into all truth, and fill me with Thy manifold gifts of grace; Who with the Father and the Son together art worshipped and glorified, one God world without end. Amen.

LORD, to Thy hands I commend [my parents, wife, children, brothers and sisters,] my benefactors, my pastors and teachers, and all for whom I ought to pray. May Thy grace, perfectness, and life eternal be granted to them all. Support the old by Thy strength: keep the young by Thy loving watchfulness in temperance, soberness, and chastity: make the children to grow up in the true faith: comfort the sick and the afflicted: and preserve us all by Thy glorious death and resurrection, that we may ever praise and glorify Thee, with the Father and the Holy Ghost, world without end. Amen.

HE God of Peace, that brought again from

Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make me perfect in every good work to do His will, working in me that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The Hymn.

of my soul, Thou Saviour dear,
It is not night if Thou be near:
O may no earth-born cloud arise
To hide Thee from Thy servant's eyes.
When the soft dews of kindly sleep
My wearied eyelids gently steep,
Be my last thought, how sweet to rest
For ever on my Saviour's breast.
Abide with me from morn till eve,
For without Thee I cannot live;
Abide with me when night is nigh,
For without Thee I dare not die.
If some poor wandering child of Thine
Have spurned to-day the voice Divine,
Now, Lord, the gracious work begin,
Let him no more lie down in sin.

Watch by the sick; enrich the poor
With blessings from Thy boundless store;
Be every mourner's sleep to-night,
Like infant's slumbers, pure and light.

Come near and bless us when we wake,
Ere through the world our way we take;
Till in the ocean of Thy love

We lose ourselves in heaven above. Amen.

MONDAY MORNING.

Praise the Lord, O my soul;

And all that is within me, praise His holy Name.

Almighty, everlasting God, Who hast been pleased to bring me through the night to the hours of morning; Grant me, I pray Thee, to pass this day without sin, so that at eventide I may again give thanks to Thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Psalm.

PSALM CXIX. Ver. 1-8.

LESSED are those that are undefiled in the way and walk in the law of the Lord. Blesse 1 are they that keep His testimonies: and seek Him with their whole heart.

For they who do no wickedness: walk in His ways.

Thou hast charged: that we shall diligently keep Thy commandments.

O that my ways were made so direct: that I might keep Thy statutes!

So shall I not be confounded: while I have respect unto all Thy commandments.

I will thank Thee with an unfeigned heart when I shall have learned the judgements of Thy righteousness.

I will keep Thy ceremonies : O forsake me not utterly.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son : and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

The Lesson,

O to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep; so shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; and lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. Then I saw, and considered it well; I looked upon it and received instruction. Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: so shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. - Prov. vi. 6-11, and xxiv. 20-34,

I

CONFESS and lament, O Lord, the sins of my life past, whether committed in thought, word or deed; especially [Here recount those sins of commission or of omission by which you feel that you have offended Almighty God, and for which you specially stand in

need of forgiveness].

...

Forgive them all,

I pray Thee, for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

Lord, have mercy.

Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

UR Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.

LORD, let me hear Thy loving-kindness betimes in the morning, for in Thee is my trust. Shew Thou me the way that I should walk in this day, and all the days of my life; for I lift up my soul unto Thee in the mercies of Jesus Christ. Amen.

LMIGHTY God, the fountain of holiness,

ALWIGHT TO Word and Thy Spirit dost

conduct all Thy servants in the ways of peace and sanctity; Grant unto me so truly to repent of my sins, so carefully to reform my errors, so diligently to watch over all my actions, that I may never transgress Thy holy laws; but that it may be the work of my life to obey Thee and the joy of my soul to please Thee; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
