He does my wand'ring soul reclaim,
And to his endless praise,

Instruct with humble zeal to walk
In his most righteous ways.

Since God does thus his wondrous love,
Through all my life extend,

That life to him I will devote,
And in his temple spend.

PSALM XXIV.

ERECT your heads, eternal gates;
Unfold, to entertain

The King of Glory; see, he comes
With his celestial train.

Who is the King of glory? who?
The Lord for strength renown'd;
In battle mighty o'er his foes,
Eternal victor crown'd.

Erect

your heads, ye gates, unfold In state to entertain

The King of Glory; see, he comes
With all his shining train.

Who is the King of glory? who?
The Lord of hosts renown'd:
Of glory he alone his king,
Who is with glory crown'd.

PSALM XXV.

THY mercies and thy love,
O Lord, recall to mind;
And graciously continue still,
As thou wert ever kind.

Let all my youthful crimes
Be blotted out by thee:
And for thy wond'rous goodness' sake,
In mercy think on me.

His mercy and his truth,

The righteous Lord displays,
In bringing wand'ring sinners home
And teaching them his ways.

He those in justice guides,
Who his direction seek;

And in the sacred paths shall lead
The humble and the meek. In.1

PSALM XXX.

I WILL extol thee, Lord on high,
At thy command diseases fly;

Who but a God can speak and save
From the dark borders of the grave? 5.

Sing to the Lord, ye saints of his,
And tell how large his goodness is;
Let all your powers rejoice and bless,
While you record his holiness.

His anger but a moments stays;
His love is life and length of days;
Though grief and tears the night employ,
The morning-star restores the joy.

PSALM XXXIII.

YE holy souls, in God rejoice,

Your maker's praise becomes your voice;
Great is your theme, your songs be new;
Sing of his name, his word, his ways,
His works of nature and of grace,
How wise and holy, just and true!

He gathers the wide-flowing seas,
Those watery treasures know their place,
In the vast store-house of the deep.
He spake, and gave all nature birth;
And fires, and seas, and heaven, and earth
His everlasting orders keep.

Let mortals tremble and adore

A God of such resistless power,

Nor dare indulge their feeble rage:

Vain are your thoughts, and weak your

PSALM XXXIV.

Through all the changing scenes of life,

In trouble and in joy,

The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ.

O make but trial of his love,
Experience will decide

How blest they are, and only they,
Who in his truth confide.

Fear him, ye saints, and you will then
Have nothing else to fear;
Make you his service your delight,
He'll make your wants his care.

PSALM XXXVI.

HIGH in the heavens, eternal God,
Thy goodness in full glory shines;

Thy truth shall break thro' every cloud
That veils and darkens thy designs.
