In this edition, for the sake of typographical elegance, the words introduced by the translators (which in other editions are printed in italics) are designated by a dot placed under the first vowel, thereby preserving the beauty of the page by its uniformity, yet allowing such words to be as readily distinguished as by the usual method.

The Apocrypha was published (1816), at £18.18, by Cadell and Davies; the other volumes (1800) were published in 70 numbers, at £1.1 each, by T. Macklin.
